  • i see black people riot and burn shit down over injustice, murder, and police brutality. when i see whiteboys burning shit down and running the streets wild its over a fucking game. a game?? now thats some shit.

  • Its a game, and oh sure lets cheer for some random guy who knows how to climb a lamppost, hardcore bro, I love videos like this when the police show up, if this proves anything, stay away from a massed crowd of people.

  • Who honestly gives a crap about your school or college team winning a game? Its something you go to for 4 years or so and it ends, no one cares if your school team wins a game or not, and this is reason to flood the streets to start a riot? Geez humanity, get a life.

  • We have got to do this again sometime

  • 6:45 personal foul 15 yrds

  • i'm glad that they are free to dance in the street. but lol if i was driving my car and they just blocked me off i would run people the fuck over.. without thinking about it for a second.

  • @truthnonfiction you still mad Maryland didn't accept you?? Typical dookie, well be living it up here at Maryland while you're living with your mom. Congrats

  • They owned the street lol.

  • This is awsome duck fuken

  • I am not sure if you have seen my other comment talking about the riot but anyway good job on showing the riot you have shown me enough to where you get a thumps up. go heels and Maryland for beating Dook

  • here is how I look at a riot if all the kids are doing is jumping and yelling and chanting like the kids where doing at the begging at the video that is fine. However if the kids are beating up cops or other people then you guys deserve some jail time. thumps up if you agree

  • Guys jumping up and down like girls is not a riot, gay maybe but not a riot.

  • @icicicles you're a scrub

  • @matthewfaulknerumd

    LOL!

At least we know where you stand.

  • lolz

  • @bubbanater07 that would mean there are 14 dislikes..there's only 7 u f**kin tarheel

  • What the fuck dude... They're hitting their shields like they're in Braveheart... They're in College Park, breaking up a college riot over a basketball game where No one was being violent except the fucking police... i.e., a kid got his shit pushed in after "hitting a horse" (which never happened)

  • fuck CP police

  • lmoa at 7:40 "Dayum n***a!"

  • White liberal trash in America. Should have used an M60 to clean this crowd.

  • @sansulott yep college students are definitley the problem with America... Are u a fkin moron???

  • @sansulott - ya man, sarah palin for president- we don't need no smart people running things. Just cut taxes and everything will be fine

  • @sansulott no bullshit lol

  • "last time we come to college park?"

    "yeah"

soo funny.. we do it right in cp!

  • Why the fuck do these cops know how to ride horses?

  • Comment removed

  • Okay, at some point the police were just beating their clubs against their shields for the hell of it.

  • Unless you're planning to attack the riot officers, you should GTFO at the sight of them. Countless videos have shown that they won't hesitate to brutalize you for the slightest thing.

  • College park is such a dump

  • well, it looks like they are blocking the road and any cop has the right to remove them from there. id arrest them for resisting that, too. between abuse of power and maintaining public order is still a difference.

  • @playgrrrr Of course you would because you're a killjoy loser. A crowd spontaneously gathered, celebrating not rioting, and because drivers might have to drive ONE BLOCK out of their way to get where they're going: SEND IN THE RIOT POLICE! Your profile says you're 19 and already you prove to have ZERO SOUL. SAD & PATHETIC you are. I was in Tucson in '97 when UofA won NCAA basketball championship - we did same thing - no police overreaction, people got tired and went home to sleep. FUN!

  • @originalatlasdrugged my profile says im 25 and have 19 subscribers. people can celebrate allt hey want on the sidewalk, or even on the street if they make way when a car is approaching to pass through, and as long as they dont disturb the peace at knight of the residents. im not anti fun. im anti inconsiderate egomaniacs who dont care about others but instantly lose it when they dont get away with what they want to do.

  • hey maryland who one this year bitch. nobody cares about your one championship. Dukes got 4.

  • @captainkill1 hey fookie, learn to spell/use the English language. Yes, Duke used an easy side of the bracket and they WON the championship. However this video is depicting the celebration after the Terps beat Dook, not the 2002 National Title. Obviously you don't attend the university, as even Dookies know the difference between "one" and "won."

  • @theterp23 : man your a real likable person!

  • Haha, point proven. You don't want to "return your shit flinging" but you can't make an argument without using "shithole" and racism. Nice job idiot. I'm actually a student, and I have a job too. Get...a...life...Have a great day!!

  • I like this truthnonfiction guy!! He apparently graduated from some other school, no one knows where to be sure, and then talks about how shitty maryland is. So what did you do after you graduated (or didn't) graduate from your school? Get a career? A job? nope, you posted arguments on youtube. Sounds like a great school. Get a life you bum. I'd let you know UMD is a highly ranking research institute which has greatly contributed to science. What did your school do?

  • @scionsound5 its a shithole

  • @scionsound5 Well negro, I dont youtube for a living. Nor do I care to return your shit flinging. (only chimps do that). Tell you what kunta, when you get off welfare, you let me know.

  • lol hows yr nose ah it burns kike a mother-cut

  • creeps

  • Typical US gays, look up some English football riots for the the real thing, not some dumb kids celebrating a victory at a crappy basketball match.

  • Maryland fans are pathetic. They do this because they cant get very far in the tournament and this is the best they can do.

  • @truthnonfiction fuck off bro they're just having fun

  • @theshvarts Shut the fuck up faggot. A maryland internet tough guy...im so scared. Thats one thing twerp fans have in common....all mouth, no action. Typical guinea

  • @truthnonfiction LOL you sound like a fucking retard dude. I never said anything to make you scared you fucking stupid cunt. hahahahah

What the fuck do you want me to do, fly over to wherever you are and kick your ass because of a stupid-ass internet comment?

Fucking tool, you're probably pissed cuz you didn't get in ahhahaha

  • @theshvarts Plus where the fuck did you get I'm a guinea from? LMAO

  • @theshvarts Sorry loser keep dreaming but maryland is not a good school at all. Not even close to my alma mater. It is a tiny shithole in prince geroges county with one major road and stripmalls everywhere. YOU suck at every major sport, and offer nothing significant other than student riots after beating duke. Thats the best you do year in and year out. Route 1...lmao. what a shithole.

  • @truthnonfiction

This coming from a guy with 258 channel views? I'd like to see you post a video of whatever crappy college you came from that didn't bother to teach you basic English skills.

  • @GameMiestro Look at the angry litle tough internet nerd who thinks views somehow equals credibility. YOu attacked my english skills? LMAO. Typical stupid maryland faggot.

  • @MegF142857 FYI as defined via Wikipedia a RIOT is a form of civil disorder characterized by disorganized groups lashing out in a sudden and intense rash of violence against people or PROPERTY. While individuals may attempt to lead or control a riot, riots are typically chaotic and exhibit herd behavior.

  • @MegF142857 Exactly you cannot comment on what you didn't see...people on here are commenting and judgeing people's actions on hearsay and the small clips of videos from the night of the robbery. If you look at more video you will see students trying to flip the Metro bus as well as bottles and fires being sent. Do a little more research before you start judging.

  • police state? versus drunken college idiots state? drunk kids have no moral superiority over the police necessary to babysit them.

  • that is one high quality camera you got there

  • police state alert.

  • @Aerofluff First off, there is no riot, there should have been no horses. Secondly, if you watched the closeup, turn on 720p fullscreen, you can tell he did NOT touch that horse.

  • Why is that even called a "riot"?

  • @MegF142857 why? because morons tried to flip a METRO bus, tore down traffic signs, threw bottles...etc oh and burned a car ...is that enough?

  • @astiff713 A riot has violence, which just milling around in the street or even some vandalism doesn't qualify to me. Didn't see all you describe from the video shown, which is all I can go on. I've seen one street sign waved and don't know where that came from, no burning car, no flipped bus, and don't think saw any thrown bottles. Did see kids get pepper spray in the face, shoved, & beaten. Now one video (not this one) showed kids burning some stuff in a trash can and dancing.

  • If you think a sports team winning justifies running through the streets and rioting, you deserve to be shot by the police.

  • @Edordorito No.

  • @CitizenXification Do you know that you need permission to legally assemble? All of people in this video were breaking the law, you cant block up streets and intersections because that dosent allow other people to use them. They were infringing one other's rights, and once you do that you have none. The last thing police want is hundreds of drunken idiots mobbing through the streets.

  • @Edordorito You shouldn't need a permission or permit to legally assemble; it's a constitutional right. Did you know it requires money to get a permit?? Why should students or anyone have to fork up money to assemble? I guess it's not surprising from a nation that money buys votes, and everything else.

Btw, I'm from UMD, and that was hardly a riot. The Cops here are just "trigger happy" and overreacting. Why do u think these cops are gona go to jail for that malicious attack?

  • @Edordorito

They have no rights if they infringe upon someone elses? That's not true...

  • You call that a riot? Hahaha...

  • I can not believe I watched 9 minutes of this crappy video just to see that weak ''assault''. Grow some balls and learn how to riot.

  • way to turn a celebration into something horrible. way to go police

  • They really do look like fucking storm troopers...hahhah

  • @ausedsoul Contra si no sabes no hables!

  • que carajo es esto, venezuela?!

  • camerabbit I AGREE with you. I AM in Houston and I was here for the the ROCKETS championship years (few, but found memories) and the police here was proactive. There was mass presence. But they were also in a celebratory mood, so there was no animosity between COPS, including the mounted police, and the party goers. I think the only casualty I remember being reported that night was of alcohol poisoning. I been to many events here in HOUSTON with mass crowds and the case is the same every time.

  • To be fair, they are blocking traffic, there's destruction of property (sign posts ripped up for starters), and I can guarantee the guys that get handled by the police are not saying "Nice day, eh?" They're there to keep the peace and this group, rioting or not, is disrupting that peace. I'm not trying to justify whatever actions are taken, but you're a fool if you think these kids are all completely innocent.

  • Retard kids care more about sports than their future.

  • @Gauzex They go to UMD. They care about their future. There is a time for work, and a time for play. Especially when you're 20.

  • They are the worst drum line I've ever seen!

  • What these young uns don't realize, is when the pigs say move, you MOVE. The pigs want to hear two things; 1. "yes, sir", and 2. "I apologize sir". The pigs will lie, plant "evidence" in your car, and rough you up, just on general principles. Take it from someone who grew up in New Jersey, (the original police state) in the 70's. The New Jersey State Police were the original FASCIST PIGS. I was on the receiving end of their antics a few times. My crime? Having long hair.

  • @Gallagherfreak100 How's college treating you? You sound like an upper middle class snob that just recently started smoking pot.

  • @havoc1310

"how's college treating me"? You, my man were not listening during high school health class, when they told you "SNIFFING GLUE LEADS TO BRAIN DAMAGE".

I've been out of college for 32 years, and don't smoke pot. How long have you been sniffing glue/paint thinner?

  • @Gallagherfreak100 Then you never obviously grew up, you're still stuck in the phase of your life where it's all "FUCK DA MAN." I'm not sure whether thinking of you as a troll or as a sophomoric nitwit is nicer, though.

  • @havoc1310

Did it ever occur to you I don't give a butt fuk, what a brain damaged moron like yourself, could possibly think of me? BTW, you did not answer my question. How long have you been on the glue/paint thinner?

  • @Gallagherfreak100 How hilarious, you meander around the actual questions and what actually matters and just stick to childish namecalling and mud slinging. I'm sorry, am I using big words?

  • this is not college park, maryland; its obviously police park, maryland.

  • Gee, if only the little assholes would channel some of that misplaced energy into something worthwhile, like taking to the streets to protest war and injustice.... Still, the stormtrooper tactics of the pigs are inexcusable....

  • @Blwn318

@Blwn318 In your real world the police are going to jail while being prosecuted both in civil and criminal courts. I hope the police go to jail for years and years. I hope every dime that they have is taken in civil suits including their pensions. They belong on the streets subject to ridicule after imprisonment. I hope that you reconsider your ill considered position. The truth is out...How do you like it so far?

  • I went there for four years and never saw anything like this. The students must have become very bored to get this excited over basketball.

  • wow if these guys where on the force with the Boston riot squad then they'de have been fired and had charges put on them, i mean i got suspended for just telling some dumb ass asian to fuck off

  • omg go watch my videos they are wild

  • shit i only live 30 min. away id jack a hummer and plow the stupid faggot ass police down.

  • nice ending shot

  • Fking idiot Maryland students and other non students dont know how to act when they win a big game....act like you have been there before. When an army of cops say move, or leave...realize its not a game, and they are serious. LEAVE ....ya think?

  • come girls flash us.

  • goto 8:08

    gotta love PG cops.

  • acting like animals

  • Riot? what riot? I didn't see any riot, and it looks like nothing was happening until the police showed up, you have to be careful out there, the police enjoy hurting people

  • higher learning indeed.

  • Dispersing the entire crowd is of questionable legality even without the violent over-reaction and beating of specific individuals. There is a constitutional right to peaceable assembly. Individuals who are breaking the law may be subject to arrest and prosecution, but the use of force to interfere with an entire gathering en masse is probably unconstitutional, and should expose the state to legal consequences. IMHO.

  • hahhah the cops look so goofy and unorganized

  • this is dumb i would of crashed them if i was in a car

  • this is some creepy shit

  • This rioting was ridiculous. The students acted like maryland was huge under dogs and we beat the biggest team in the world. I love maryland. ACT like you have been there before.

  • they had the right to bring riot police because they r blocking traffic destroying city property

  • typical maryland

  • "If you bring out the riot gear before people riot, you're telling people they should be rioting..."

    ?????

Where the hell is the RIOT??

No Stones, no Bottles no nothing!

No even loud chanting or street barricades!

that is no riot that is a PARTY

greets from germany-berlin aka EUROPEAN UNION POLICE STATE MEMBER

  • @NinoK2701 There are stones, bottles, trees being ripped down, and property destroyed. This particular video doesn't show it, but my car was burned, so i know there was. in the 'infamous video, you can see two bottles land within 5 feet of the police horse line, and another land close to the officers. get your facts straight.

  • @mscotthill

So two bottles flying next to the feets of some police men makes it a riot or what??

type in "g8 gipfel heiligendamm" and look what a riot in germany looks like ;)

or watch the first of may demonstrations in berlin in two weeks!

plz dont tell ME about "rioting" when you got no f**cking clue what that is

btw any riot against police states are good riots!!

  • ...ldn't trade my time so far here or my time left for anything. And, um, sorry for the novel-sized comments... :)

  • ...son ranked low. We rallied and had a fantastic season. We hadn't beaten Duke in six games. We have great seniors--Vasquez, Milbourne, and Hayes--and it was their senior night. The game was for a share of the ACC title. There were so many storylines going on, and as I said before, if there's one thing you can say about Maryland students, it's that we take sports very seriously. We were just excited, and I don't think anyone can tell us that we shouldn't have been. I love Maryland, and i wou...

  • ...that said, students were not celebrating to any degree near to how the police responded. Some innocent students WERE assaulted; there's no way around that. Ask around on campus, and you'll hear plenty of stories. While I agree that the police were in a sticky situation--if they didn't respond, people would have called them out on that--they did go over the top and I believe there should be an investigation. Finally, for us at UMD, beating Duke is a big accomplishment. We went into this sea...

  • To all the people saying that we don't appreciate our education and we should act like we've won a championship before: Here's the thing. If you don't go to Maryland, please don't judge us. We have a very unique environment there, and we take our athletics VERY SERIOUSLY. However, this doesn't mean we don't take our education seriously; otherwise, we wouldn't be one of the top public universities in the nation. Obviously, rioting is not the best way to express our excitement over winning, but...

  • This was only one part of the celebration (I refuse to call it a "riot"). I was on the street parallel to knox (1of the schools entrances) &they had us blocked in on all 4 sides directing us towards another group of officers who then threatened us back; they were not communicating well and causing chaos by herding us. Plus keep in mind that the diners on campus were closed at this point, so many people went to rt 1 from the game (after sitting outside for hours waiting for seats) to get food.

  • Blwn318 Only your real world allows fully armed police to beat up unarmed students. I can only imagine the little tiny life you live; unable to figure out what to do that would ever make a positive difference to anyone. I also imagine that you seem unable to overcome your inferiority complex no matter what you try. I can however understand based on what you write that it is a real challenge for you.

  • @alfreddwight My real world consist of being over seas several times to defend this country. I do it daily on the street as a LEO. You underestimate the importance of these men and women. Everyone can "what-if" this situation all day. Accusations will be made. You're ignorance has annoyed me greatly.

  • When you were in the military you were doing the bidding of political officials, corporations and commercial interests. You were not protecting the nation. It does not qualify you as a nation's defender. It just makes you a chump - the same as in my Vietnam time. So at some level you realize facts that trump your Illusions. My comments cut directly to the real issues. This makes you angry. Its also makes no difference except to you. I hope you feel better now - knowing the truth..

  • There are other videos of the police beating at 8 minutes in, some with audio. You can hear the kid singing a school fight song with a friend, skipping and dancing towards Route 1. Once he he sees the police line he stops, and is just beginning to turn back when then police pummel him.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how students at this university can have the greatest disregard and lack of respect for their education I've ever seen. I suppose I have not seen anything yet...

  • Does anyone have any idea why the guy at 8:08 is being beaten down by the cops on Knox next to the mall? (Posted by a Maryland alumnus)

  • This makes it seem like they're a college that's never beaten Duke before and as if it's some great feat to achieve. Act like you guys have won a championship before (considering you have in the past decade) and not like a bunch of punks.

  • my brother is in his video about 6 times. hahah, tall kid red hoodie, 2:06

  • wasnt this a bit of an over reaction on the part of the police???? These were just college kids celebrating a big win. The party would have died on its own without the swat team for heavens sake. Brings back memories of Kent State.

  • @QUeEnVicToRiA630 negative. it is there job to prepare for the worst and to be a deterrent. the idea was to say "we are here and you will not turn this into the 02 riots" the "entitled" children on UMD decided that the sight of police was enough to act like idiots. never mind the fact that there are cops at Knox and rt 1 on a nightly basis

  • Maryland, wow. Act like you've been there before.

  • Blwn381 It does not take any intelligence to wield a baton, hide behind a shield and carry a gun. As it turns out most anyone can get a college degree from a third or fourth rate college. Anyone under the color of law can beat up celebrating

teenagers. As for how he saw the police he merely looked out of his window which is on fraternity row.

  • @alfreddwight why was your son not outside? most likely because he was intelligent enough to go back indoors when the police rolled out. I know more then a few Police Officers with master degrees from UMD (the same school your young one is attending) i think you underestimate what you are up against. It would be an honor to see you attempt to do what then men and women in blue do for a living. It would be even more of an honor to see you fail and admit that you have no idea what they deal with

  • You lost all your credibility with the second sentence of your post. Nor do I care what the police are up against. They voluntarily took a job and we pay them for it. They are our servants, nothing else. We don't expect or pay them to act like criminals protected only by the fact they create fear versus doing the job they were hired to do; serve and protect, not serve themselves and beat up teenagers because they can get away with it. I wonder how well they would do without the weapons?

  • @alfreddwight

The video didnt show anyone getting beat up for nothing. Just because it didnt show what the kid did wrong...doesnt mean hes innocent. The majority of police officers are very well rounded.

and no shit they would be nothing without their weapons....its 40 of them versus thousands. I would hope they show up prepared. Im pretty sure thats the point.

  • @alfreddwight lost my credibility?? you clearly have no idea how the real world operates. yes they voluntarily took the job. someone has to protect this great nation from the droves or criminals out there. you sleep peacefully at night because there are men an women on the front lines risking their lives so that you can go about your daily activities. i laugh at the thought of taking away their weapons. I hope someday soon you realize the importance of our men and women in blue

  • It wasn't a riot

  • New Orleans didn't even act like this when we won the Superbowl! Classless.

  • No? The Saints if you can call them that simply tried a few weeks before to break Bret Favre's legs.

You need a better story this one does not hunt.

  • It's called football. It's a contact sport. Maybe his ass should retire for once!

  • The horses should have trampled their asses!

  • @saintsnbraves1 You belong in a home for the angry and violent. It seems to me that you are a psychopath, dangerous to yourself and others. Get yourself some mental help as soon as possible.

  • I bet half of them don't know shit about basketball.

  • I'm a 21 year old guy who has lived in College Park since I was four. And whenever I hear that there is a Maryland/Duke game. I stay home. Because this ALWAYS happens, and the police are ALWAYS there. Now I'm not saying that anything the police did was justified. I wasn't there, I wouldn't know. But there are laws against public intoxication, that kind of noise and the vandalism that often occurs during these things, and quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass.

  • pfft, you call that a "riot"?

  • I Lol'd at 3:16 the kid getting pushed in front of the camera " ALRIGHT cool cool ALRIGHT!"

  • wow maryland kids are so fucking stupid. Duke for life!

  • Is this same Duke that gang rapes co eds and party attendants at LaCrosse Team gatherings?

You do remember the scandal don't you. You also know that the kids got off because they paid off. And that it has happened again since.

Duke has its own stains. Your mouth amongst them.

  • i would want to be a riot police specifically to beat on stupid college kids....

  • You belong in a Skinner Box and require a psych evaluation.

  • Maybe 0.o, ah well

all i can say is if your gonna act like a fucking idiot, Expect to get Punch in the face...

TL:DR? = Dont be a fucking Idiot Next Time...

  • I guess that includes felons hiding behind shields and police uniforms. Most of the police that I have met need intense personality adjustments except for their handlers who use them as under paid tools. It should concern you that most police can barely write, cannot think objectively and will do most anything for a pittance of a paycheck. We would do with a lot fewer of them. Perhaps they need to get real jobs.

  • @alfreddwight you apparently don't know many police officers. Most are college educated with degrees or working towards a degree. and last time i checked, especially right now, a lot of people will do anything for a paycheck

  • @alfreddwight this comment irritates me in so many ways. Obviously you have no idea what the "real world" consist of. So as to not spoil your ignorant dreams I will withdraw from this conversation.

  • is this in atl

  • Wow, you guys are cool, running around with a street sign and everything. What a bunch of fucking morons.

  • Kids, if you don't do this the cops won't bother you.

Go home and be good little children and know, one day, when you are much more mature and wise(some of you will not reach that point) you will understand that you were stupid back in your youth and deserved all you got for being an idiot.

  • @wetweasel56

agreed. have your fun, but if your riot, police swing. it's as simple as that. i don't know why we riot all the time anyway, it's like we aren't used to winning or something. love maryland, but i wish we had class.

  • @Jeffx007 most intelligent response yet from a student.

  • Be good, eat shit, work slave hours for miserable wages and maybe, I dunno, Daddy State will let you decide some trivial things for yourself, such as Pepsi or Coke.

  • hahahaah that's my car at 8:09 making a u-turn!

  • This video should be sent to the FBI, the Justice Department and States Attorney General Ganzler so that the police can be identified and charges brought against them. PG County is notorious for this kind of brutality. Its time to throw the offending police into prison on felony charges and assault. Perhaps that kind of action will send a message.

  • @alfreddwight as long as you also forward the video (cause i know it is somewhere) of the "students" throwing bottles and rocks, charging the police lines, lighting fires, tearing down signs, and causing a massive civil disturbance. lets charge them too. oh wait you wont want that because its the police officers fault right?

  • @Blwn318 As far as I am concerned there is no excuse for a jack booted cop to beat a child with a stick. PG County frankly is a sewer that has been under constant FBI investigation. My son who was not outside but in his apartment and goes to school there told me about all the armed vehicles roaming the streets and the unusual message from the University to all students via e-mail not to riot after the game. It seems that both the police and students were set up. A message without foundation.

  • @alfreddwight the messages from the University came about because they knew this would happen. they expect this kind of chaos over something as trivial as a game. The police knew about it too. that is why they were there as a deterrent. watch the people in the video. 7:36 riot police walk up = students scatter. now watch at 7:59 50% of the crowd runs. the other walk back towards the police line. one might ask why? because they feel they are "entitled" to do so.

  • @alfreddwight being in his apartment how did he witness these armored, not armed, vehicles roaming the streets??

  • hahah yes

  • I'm surprise they all were clothed... Celebration at UMD usually involved semi-nakedness...

  • the group of people shoulda helped the guy that was geting clubed on the ground not run away! they out numbered the police anyway! they need to get organised

  • when you see someone get beat up like that, instincts kinda kick in. you see a-holes geared up like that, you wanna run towards the opposite direction

  • @yourblackoutmemory not when you are a drunk college kid who feels like they are "entitled" to act this way after a win.

  • haha wow awesome

  • Those cops banging on their shields looked and sounded like Nazis. It made my blood run cold.

  • you dont billy club a kid till he's a bloody pulp, laying in the road and then then still call yourself an honorable officer of the law, like they did about 8 minutes into this video, because at that point you no longer are , you're just a jack-booted thug......fuckin cops are startin to look like goddamn SS in 1939
