@bobaflex666 yep there is, but if ya fix it ya wont be able to controll it, at least with the black screen you can controllit, but if not ur veency and ur ipod will crash and it will respring, u will just be able to see the screen

For those getting a black screen on the computer but still getting an active connection. Use and old version of Veency!

Google veency_0.9.3023-1 and download a deb, then install with SSH.

How do you connect without having to press Accept on iPhone?

Go to Veency settings, through Settings and set a password. Then restart your iPhone. After that, if you are using UltraVNC (Highly recommended), whenever you connect to your iPhone you have to enter the password and a prompt asking to accept the connection won't be displayed - you'll connect instantly.

I have a question about this regarding video and the built in camera. I have a 3GS and using the standard iphone camera app the display just shows as black. The take picture button shows, and when you press on the black area inside TightVNC/UltraVNC the focus square appears just unable to see what's actually displayed on the iphone. Also, I can't remotely watch an already recorded video or view video intensive games/apps through vnc.

Ok gang, some serious details are needed here. First, he is running the iPhone from his computer. None of the VNC clients I am aware of in the app store do that. They run your COMPUTER FROM your iPhone.

Second, VNC does not stream sound. But Jaduu's RDP (Remote Desktop) can - they are both available in the appstore. RDP only works with Windows though. VNC works with everybody.

I have an unjailbroken iPhone and I use VNC and it works just fine. I can access my home computer from anywhere.

My son's iPhone is jailbroken (which I did) so I'm not unaware of how to jailbreak and what it does.

For windows, use the TightVNC viewer. It seems to work very well. For mac, maybe chicken of the VNC. Anything will work. The commands are, left click=touch, right click = home button, left+right = sleep button. It works great, and is definately worth it.
