I have 90 songs by Modest Mouse, and at this point in time this is my favourite song. It's just a song I relate to a lot at the moment. As far as the skill of lyricism goes, Modest Mouse is my favourite band and I would vote Isaac Brock as the best lyricist of his generation, possibly ever. It's between him, Bob Dylan, Isaac Hayes, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello and Leonard Cohen anyway.

You do know the artist get's about 0.02$ dollars per cd? Not to mention the cd is bad for the environment because it's made out of a plastic which releases waste and is not biodegradable. Modest Mouse is one of those bands that can honestly fit perfectly inside society without society knowing what they're up to. they'll produce music thats fits better inside society, they'll find ways to hide their meaning in music that people who don't love them, simply could never understand. they write their music for us, and for them. not for everyone to listen to. even if the sounds more appealing to mainstream, their meaning is still raw, and full of heart and soul.
