  • This episode has taught me more of a different language then 2 years of Spanish class

  • Hah the title used Swedish letters, almost every single word are misspelled, forgot the articles of nouns, vikings are extinct and so is the norwegian Narkhval industry. No learning here with Freakazoid...

  • @MacFlash2 It's a childs cartoon

Take your seriousness somewhere it's more cared about. Like nowhere.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheHeavyMetalnr666 HATERS GONNA HATE

  • @TheHeavyMetalnr666

Then again both Norwegians and Swedish people eat rotten fish so I would say it's normal for both of them to sound weird.

  • @kjarri42: But, we who don't like it? Are we just influenced by everyone else? D:

  • Noe så teit! XD

Sounds like a Swedish waiter who has been living in Norway for just so long that his mother tongue has started to turn Norwegian (but still has a lot of Swedish tones in it)! XD

And I should know since I'm Norwegian ;)

    + it's not called "narkval" in Norwegian X) It's "narhval" :P

They say "god dag" in both swedish and norwegian. Even in danish too, even if the pronounciation is pretty different then.

  • @WolfieboyMachi do you know how old that bloody comment you damn idiot? dont even bother

  • @az12223

Does it matter how old it is?

A comment is still a comment.

  • I swear I read that as "Controversial Norwegian" at first...I got all excited for nothing.

Oh, well. I still enjoyed it.

  • hahaha ;D nice 1

  • Most of you guys are wrong the real vikings came from what was going to be Norway, we ate Amanita muscaria and terrorised europe for many years.

  • Norwegian at its best (yeah, I'm from Norway).

  • :D awesome!

  • Haha, yeah. I was being sarcastic, though, but I guess you got it..?

  • yeah

    but it's awesome you're from Norway :D

  • Ah. It is, indeed.

  • Cool to meat another Scandinavian, Im a dane you see.

  • Nice! Scandinavia rules (kinda)

  • Edutainment at its best.

  • I'm Norwegian and finds this quite funny lol.

He pronounced it completely wrong. :P

Well, I like Freakazoid anyways so.

And also to the person saying that vikings came from Danmark. It's partly true, but they also came from Norway and Sweden ;)

  • Why did this turn into a war?!? I am myself from denmark, and both Norway and Denmark are the Vikings homelands. As far as I know, the swedish people weren't vikings, they where goths, no not emo, you can see on a map, that many swedish places has been named after the goths who lived there. Buth danes and norwegians was incredible sailors, and there brute force and brave men, made the english fear them. Also its true that the vikings ate a special mushroom that made them go berzerk. (: Sorry.

  • Happy little narwhale!

  • D: the vikings came from denmark! Read some history.

other then that, classic Freakazoid. love it... exept they're bad at history.

  • Dude... srsly....

The viking king lived in "Karmsundet"

That's in Norway... Read some history.

There probably was vikings in Denmark, but mostly in Norway.

  • Norway was ruled by denmark around that time. And i live in denmark, and i've read the danish history. T_T

im really sorry to bother all of you, but vikings came from Denmark.

I just dont want to ruin the video, i ust said they came from denmark/norway. YES DEMNARK AND NORWAY! hell. Its not like I said the video was bad or anything.

  • That was later... The vikings came originally from Greenland and moved to the coast of Norway and denmark..

  • No. They came from denmark and moved over iceland, greanland and norway.

where the hack did u read ur history? I just want to know.

Chech Wikipedia if you dont beleave me.

  • No,you're both wrong. They were born on Mars until the Marquians invaded and bred with their people and THEN they went to Denmark.

  • XD Darn it, you knew!

  • err... the "original" vikings did in fact com from germany, ages before what we now call "the viking-age". they travelled north an came to norway from denmark.

..oh, and about your claim, about norway being ruled by denmark in the timespace 700-1000, you're so wrong, it kinda hurts. norway was under denmark, but it was way later. during the vikings' age of grandure, they were spread all along scandinavia, and also, norway wasn't a single kingdom then.

  • ok, but i dont know if the german people believed in gods like Thor and Odin... Or if they robbed anyone... And yeah, i thought i was wrong, i didnt remember when they where under denmark... Thanks for clearing that up.

Did germany believ in them? Im just asking, 'cause i dont know.

And i apologize to that one anoying cherecter who always says i give poor coments. I just didnt quite get why they thought norway was related to the vikings rather then denmark...

  • Aww, Odin. God of Poetry and Beer!

  • Actually, I think the Germans did, originally, believe in the 'Norse Gods'.

And Christofferu, you're kind of rude and snobbish.

  • the germans did believe in the norse gods, but they were known by different names. Thor was known as Donar in the Old High German language.

moreover, there is no fundamental difference whether the vikings were swedish, norwegian or danish or even german, they were more or less the same people, but since norway was facing the north sea more than denmark and sweden, there are alot more prolific stories about norwegian vikings mucking about because of their use of longships

  • The Danes didn't really invade Norway, they sort of befriended them. Establishing trade routes and mixing genes. And thats why the Norwegians and danes genes áre more similiar than the Norwegian and swedish genes. The people of Norway and Denmark therefore united, but countless wars with Sweden split them apart.

  • What like mario?

  • Bullshit, the people of the three Scandinavian kingdoms have indistinguishable genes.

  • lol,the narwhale busting through the boat was so random

  • Well, the words are genuinely Norwegian, but the grammar is completely mucked up and the pronunciation is so off that even a real Norwegian has to listen twice to understand what the heck he's saying... Funny, though. ^_^

  • genearlly they NEVER get it right on purpose, but its still a very funny piece

  • wtf it aint damn no norwegian.... ka faen er det de babler om... weirdos lær dere å snakke norsk (learn how to speak norwegian) lmao

  • it is norwegian, even though the first title has swedish letters in it. xDD

  • Faen! Though I know they wouldn't mention that word on a kids' show. :)

  • Lykkkelig liten narkval!

  • Ehh, no you don't! Don't pretend that you know what language it is, when you don't.

  • lol dont sound like norwegian at all :P

  • Heh, actually it is norwegian ;)

  • du'uh i know, but it dont sound like it

  • the pronounciation is whacked up, but it is norwegian. more importantly its nynorsk, because of the 'kval' in narkval. kval is a nynorsk term for whale, while the bokmål (or high-norwegian) form is hval. either way, its the humor thats important

  • Wow. Props to the team that made this for accuracy.

  • @Darkpaint84 its not nynorsk its norsk!

  • @Darkpaint84 the pronounciation is spot on, it sounds like a crazy man from western Norway.

  • @BJHBNE dont know if i should agree or feel insulted, seeing as i am from western norway, but hey, its freakazoid! :)

  • @Darkpaint84 Eg å, ville bare peke ut at det lignet mer enn at det ikkje lignet. Døtødøtø døtødø Frekazoid...sjimpanse

  • @Darkpaint84 There ya go kids, practical knowledge! Neat! I love it when shows go the extra mile and actually use the real language for these kinds of gags, even if the prononciation *is* whacked up. But then again, there's also something to be said for the ethno-centric Pepe le Pew and Swedish Chef style. Bork bork bork!

  • @YellowMagi He's actually right, you know....
