  • Well, to clarify, I do like the fast version, it's exhilarating.

Please just record it again at a slower speed, or with a slightly different slant, and leave this version up here, too, so you (and we) can have it both ways, so to speak. I'm completely serious.

There could never, ever be too many versions of Julia Delaney in the world or on youtube.

    Thank you.

  • Played too fast from beginning to end. Remember that this is dance music, and a steady and danceable tempo is necessary. You might listen to recordings of some older traditional musicians to get a sense of the range of goods speeds.

  • Yep. It's fast, however, when I play it for dances it's much slower and follows Silver Spear. I enjoy picking up the pace a bit when there's no dancers.

  • Funny thing though, a while back I was playing for some kids and when they were doing hard shoe they wanted it faster than what I was doing here and actually pulled it off. Oh to have that much energy.

  • Quite good.

You're right about the rushing; but it's otherwise excellent.

    What a lovely, lovely song.

  • cool

  • Some may have been a bit jumbled due to the crazy tempo but nice work. 5/5
