How to find Rare Spawns

tyvm , thanks to this addon, i got Loque'Nahak in about 20 minutes

The problem i find with rares and sometimes rarespawn overlay, there data is not acurate sometimes. E.G the posidus mount can be found in alot of other places. but they only have 5 spots marked

For those of you who don't know Rare Spawns are mobs that have a silver dragon around their name. THey give alot of XP and usually good items on them. At lower levels they can be used to gain level almost instantly, If you go to google and search for leveling through rare spawns, there are several guides of maps locations that have those spots. Also addons like the one in the video help.

There are a few addons that improve detection of rare spawns. If Blizzard banned everyone who used any of them then they'd lose 90% of their regular WoW players.

OMG The time-lost proto drake is in the stormpeaks. And their was an NPC on it's back. And the TLPD is extremely hard to find cuz my friend looked 4 it for a full 5 hours strait. I was lucky enough to get the mount it drops :D

Alternative to Rare spawn overlay is NPCscan Overlay.

You get near to a rare and it'll give off a small ring on the mini map while a minor window with the mob name and look comes up, plus it auto targets it at first.

lol you dont need npcscan, just go to curse and search for "Silver Dragon" works perfect for me, and also download Handy Notes from there also and it will put notes on ur map with all the rare spawn icons on there :D

its setup with all the npcs for Bloody rare and Frostbitten achievements (all rares in outland and almost all in Northerend). u can also tell it to find npc's of your own choice.

yea your still gonna have to camp it for like 6 hours a night if you want it. The addon pretty much just lets you know its near you so you can like spam tab until you target it.

you have to be close enough so wow loads the monster file into

\Cache\WDB\enUS\creaturecache.­wdb

think of how atlas loot (an addon that allows you to see boss drops among other things) works with items

if it hasnt been seen you cant look at the item, if it has been seen(cached) then you can just mouseover the items to see them
