I love this one, but I remember it was very cold and WHY AM I ON A BOAT? Sort of a dumb blonde moment....I also remember the line. The biggest line besides the Safari line in Animal Kingdom.

Oh well we went really early, rightt when Magic Kingdom opens. We stood in line for at least an hour. The ride is fun, but I remember getting off and think 'that was soooo not worth that wait!' I mean, like, I would ttly wait for something like Space Mountain or Expedition Everest, but this wasn't really worth it...there should be more drops and stuff so it's thrilling. But it's a good ride for younger kids.

Adventureland might be an ad for Jack Sparrow now, but in Walt's day, it was an ad for his True Life Adventures series so all in all, not much as changed

I was never a huge fan of this ride. It always seemed like the least interesting of the classics-- Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise were always much better in my opinion. After the refurb in which Johnny Depp now creepily pops up, I am even more disinclined to go on. Granted, the new AAs are amazing, but all the movie tie-in's? It's just a cheap way to cash in on a brief cultural phenomenon. I have a feeling that in ten years Disney will be kicking themselves for this.

When I went to Tokyo Disneyland in September 2008 I didn't know about the changes (well we don't have a Disneyland in Australia). But I was amazed when I saw this. Jack looked so realistic.. kind of scary.

This has always been one of my favorite rides, I was sort of worried when I heard they were remodeling it after the ride, but fortunately, the new characters don't destroy the wonder of the ride.

they kept advertising "Watch Out! Captin Jack Sparrow is now a part of this crew!" and you end up only seeing him like him two times (#1: when he pops out of the barrell, #2: at the end, when he's in the rocking chair)

Before the boring-as-hell movie came out it was much better. Now it's just a cheezy film promotion. Everything is cheapened today by pop-culture and it makes me wanna puke!

I went on this ride in January using the nighttime extra magic hours. It was kinda creepy because the boats behind and in front of us were empty.

It was really weird seeing magic kingdom look like a ghost town, but it was really cool too because the rides that had an hour or more wait time earlier that day, ended up having like no wait time during the extra magic hours! :P

They incorporated captain Jack Sparrow very well in my opinion. It was one of my favorite Magic Kingdom rides before the rehab, and is probably more so after.

with a 4th pirates movie coming out they should add more like orlando blooms character and keira knightlys character to, plus the two guys, the fat one and the one with the fake eye

I hate how Disney decides to incorporate Johnny Depp into the ride. It would've been fine if they, you know, added a few scenes with him in the ride here and there. But no, they took things out to put in scenes from the movie. They've changed everything around; the main entrance, the souveniers. Now the future generations will probably think that the ride was made after and based off of the movie.
