TELL US WHERE TO GET IT THEN -i have given directions to places i ordered from (jsdvd, uk2usa etc) many not subbed and never found unless you google non-stop for weeks. other countries seem to get their own dub even, english speakers seem ruthlessly ignored. germany/italy has heidi- was on tv in uk-20 years ago, where the english/sub version go? pollyana also on uk tv- puff! english speakers are always at the back end. original jap- english subs please.
@itchytastyurr The English-speaking market is not interested in these series because the United States is a major producer of animated series, they do not need to borrow from other countries. "Katoli" has been aired in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal. If Nippon Animation chooses not to make their series marketable to English-speakers, that's their choice. They own the works and are entitled to distribute them as they please. Piracy is not the answer.
Actually, the Japanese spell it "Katori" in romanized characters, but pronounce it "KA-toli", which is why the Spanish and German versions named her "Katoli, too." =]

Most of the character names in Makiba no Shoujo Katori are finnish names spelled/pronounced in japanese way. The translators should have done some research so they would have found out that "Katoli" is not a name... eh :P
Well, I don't know. I guess since that's the way it was spoken in the original dialogue, the Spanish and German dubbers chose to keep it for their versions. "Katoli" may not have been a name back then, but it sure could become one, as I personally think it's very nice-sounding. =D

Katoli? The girl is named "Katri" in the original book and japanese pronounce it "Katori" :P
How possibly they have ended up naming her "Katoli" in spanish version :O
Katri is somewhat equal to english "Katherine" or "Katy"

The Japenese use the l for the they´re r, example: thanks = arigato but the prenounce it like aligato.
In the Netherlands we made the same chose Natalie an L we heard an L and chose a name who is more used.
