Don't these kids know that whenever they do these types of questions, the third answer is usually a joke, therefore, making it a 50-50 choice?

I'm guessing they didn't know, and they didn't want to risk the other winning a physical challenge. So they obviously knew it was wrong, and answered it at that so no money would change.
