Lol, well, it's because Cézár (Cesar) is a common name for German Shepherds in Hungary. "John" in Hungarian would be "János", which would sound awkward for a dog, at least for us Hungarians. But don't ask why. xD It's just... not meant for dogs. xD

*coughs* Man, I hate it when they edit scenes. It makes no sense afterwards. And Smith's VA really freaked me out. He sounds... like a man o.o And here I was expecting some high-pitched voice. After watching the Japanese one, I really can't picture Smith with a 'manly' voice so to speak.
I haven't decided. xD I need to hear him yelling and stuff. His Korean voice is cute, too. Though it sounds pretty feminine.

It's an anime. This dub is called "Ezüst Nyíl", but the original Japanese version is called "Ginga Nagareboshi Gin".
It's about an Akita trying to stop a man eating bear in the Japanese Alps. To do this, he bands together with other hunting dogs from around the country.
It's really good. =3 Though I recommend the Japanese, since this version is so heavily edited.
Actually, I stole it from Youtube. XD With my firefox Unplug function, and then my free FLV converter. But I did it to further advertise this great dub. Since most of my friends and subscribers are Ginga fans, I figured it'd get more views than the episodes themselves. ^^
^^ Well, I mainly said that because she is advertising the Hungarian version even though she isn't Hungarian, that is really flattering to me XD; By the way, I have the full thing on a DVD ^^

The dub is good , the only problem is they cut sooo many scene out of it that some things become impossible to understand lol.

The dog's names are the following in this scene:
-Gin = Ezüst Nyíl
-John = Cézár
-Ben = Béni
-Cross = Bella
-Smith = Füles
And Daisuke is called Dániel :D
