  • is there anywhere u can listen to the entire audio like during the actual attack??

  • My wife is a FedEx MD11 Captain - at the time of this incident she was flying the 727. What many people do not know is that Auburn Calloway was scheduled to be the second officer (flight engineer) on this flight, but the crew went over time of the previous filght and were replaced. Had they been on time, Calloway would have been the flight engineer with only two people to overpower (one a small woman). His plan likely would have succeeded. Calloway was also an experienced martial arts fighter.

  • Truly, this makes me sad. Romans 1 is right.

  • Three of them against one and not one of them could snap that muthafukr, Auburn's, neck!!! C'mon...guys...man up! But props to them surviving it....

  • @MsEmbalmer1 Three of them who had critical injuries to the head and who were experiencing near-fatal blood loss from their injuries. While the aircraft was being barrel-rolled beyond its flight envelope. TL;DR: They were half-dead, and with the maneuvers the aircraft was performing, it should have been ripped apart in the air.

Try it some time. I hear it's pretty easy.

  • This Isint The Real Atc This Is The 1 From Aircrash Investagation Just With Static

  • Damn I would at least ask if he is ok and not mortally wounded at the very least lol

  • My old buddy dispatched this flight. Funny story - Met Peterson at a party one night years later..At HIS house... I had no idea till I walked in and saw all the commendations and plaques on his wall. Nice guy.! ALL freekin hereos.!

  • wow people no one cares about the picture its just a recording!!!!!

  • calloway is a facking gay

  • Quite an amazing feat. A 727 isn't supposed to be able to do a barrel roll. Amazing that they got that bird back on the ground. Shame they were so viciously wounded though. I think none of them ever flew again due to their severe injuries. Well, it's another strange case for the history books.

  • @thenekom They were in a DC-10.. Watch the documentary..it's awesome.

  • @thenekom that was a DC-10 that was involved in this incident.

  • Anyone attempting to hijack a plane should not leave the plane alive. They have signed their death warrant. Pilot had first dips on killing the SOB. Hijackers should not get off the plane alive ever

If any bleeding heart libs opens their yap then they too should be shot on sight.

  • @nytech04 i couldnt agree more. they would have been taking out a dead man with a face that looked like nigger oatmeal.

  • A horrible event. None of them could ever fly again because he harmed them so severely! Imagine doing that to co-workers at your workplace? What a complete a¤#hole, moron and psycho he was:(

  • @winterstellar I actually WOULD like to do this to some of my coworkers.

  • how did a cargo plane get hijacked

  • @sharkowner95 extra pilot plotted it out

  • @sharkowner95 It was another FedEx pilot, who was about to be fired for poor performance, and was seeking revenge against the company. He had "hitched" a ride, and planned to kill the crew and crash the aircraft into the FedEx corporate headquarters building back in Memphis.

  • @jbarganier not pilot he was an flight engineer

  • @jbarganier No.. taking out he Corporate HQ would NOT cripple the company. He was planning on crashing the DC-10 into the main Super hub sorting facilities. That would have done serious damage to the company. They should have thrown his ass out of the plane.

  • @sharkowner95 a fellow FedEx Flight Engineer was "jumpseating" and he smuggled hammers and a harpoon onboard because there was almost no chance of him being searched. He was about to be fired for lying about his flight hours and he thought the airline was discriminating against him so he plotted a suicide mission, and tried to make it look like an accident so the company would pay out the life insurance, while he was still an employee.

  • Thanks a lot for this tape. If you know the story and hear this recording, you will respect pilots and things they have to go through. Not every pilot has to go through something this horrible though, but it's for sure they have a hard job.

  • @jbarganier, My apologies :(

  • @akablenk71 Don't bother apologizing to him. Trolls don't deserve courteous treatment, since they never give the same. I was more interested in the STORY, not the frikkin PICTURE .... what I also feel is what the great majority of other viewers were interested in to. But a few quite rude individuals are always just trolling for a place to post their immature insults & complaints, not even caring what the video is actually about. And that's exactly why these little kiddies are called TROLLS.

  • @jbarganier just close your eyes.

  • @jbarganier Oh my lord give me a break, who cares. Can't you just be happy with the recording? It's a pretty unique experience, so just appreciate that the guy posted this in the first place. If that's too much for you, then go seek entertainment elsewhere.

  • @KSharp320 I'm glad you did'nt care about the picture!!!

  • @akablenk71 im saying

  • @KSharp320 thats what i was thinkin

  • @jbarganier thats what i was thinkin

  • @jbarganier dickhead!

  • I HAVE THE VIDEO OF THIS HIJACKING PLANE !

  • how many medals did these guys get?

  • @00Billy probably not enough

  • " . . .well, it's sort of under control." That's the very best anyone can do when someone just attempted to murder them.

  • Im British and have to say that it horrified me listening to this but nearly brought me to tears when i heard they managed to land the plane safely!!! TOTAL PROS AND A CREDIT TO THEIR PROFESSION + COUNTRY!

Hope they jailed that nutter for life!!!

  • @hearts76100 And it's also very refreshing & nice when people make true & tasteful comments such as yours, regardless of nationality. Way too many people today would have done the, "Well, what do you expect? They are from (Insert Country Here)" crap. That type of stuff is NEVER necessary, but ALWAYS much too common. This same thing could have happened anywhere in the world, to any nations airline or company. But the ones who do that junk won't stop, because they don't care.

  • @offamychain

    Thankyou for your kind words!

  • Incredible story!

  • The hijackers' wife left him, as he had no funds to take them to university. Suddenly he remembered his work insurance (if he is killed at work) is worth $2million. He thouught, if he crashed the plane, his kids could go to university...

  • @Marmalade624 so what are you saying that excuses it?

  • @thefsxandREALpilot nope, just telling ppl what happened(=

  • @Marmalade624 o ok sry lol

  • How did the hijackers get into the a/c???

  • @brcakb The hijacker was a former FedEx pilot, he had major debt and couldnt handle it all, like bringing up his kids etc so he decided to commit suicide

  • @brcakb it was one guy, he was jump seating i think, which means when employees travel for free. he had a hammer & spearfish gun in a guitar case. he was about to be fired for false records. he tried to disable the cockpit voice recorder, so there would be no record, but the crew put it back on so the whole thing was recorded. crew are true heroes. amazing job of flying. heard them tell the story in person, they are low-key about it, but that is truly amazing that they landed it. 100% heroes.

  • I watched this on story on Mayday and what kinda puzzles me is if Calloway was temporarily subdued after being hit on the head several times with a hammer and then all three crew members were in the back with him, why didn't they tie him up with some kind of rope?

That would've ended the situation. Or else they could've kept hitting him until he's near dead and can't fight back.

  • I just saw this on tv

  • You should read the offical NTSB cockpit voice recordings for this flight. It has the whole episode on in it. Crazy, just crazy. Tailstrike has it.

  • Those three men who fought back are true American heroes.

  • oh my god horrible everything wat happened

  • this is the best job in the world hands down

  • Wow!! I just watched this on TV. The three man crew were absolute hero's!!! The co-pilot took over the controls and pitched and rolled the plane to it's limit to help the crew subdue the hijacker. He was the most seriously injured with a blow to the head from a hammer. Despite that, he went to the back of the plane to fight the hijacker once the pilot was able to take over. He had to learn how to walk, talk, etc due to his injuries. Amazing.!!!

  • i saw that episode too. amazing pilots.

  • @MyLife3636 It's heroes, you dumbass. God I hope you don't have kids.
