This was a cool video, and it's cool that they're trying such a small suppressor on such a large gun. I've thought of this concept too- make the suppressor just big enough that it dampens the decibles as well as recoil and muzzle flash, yet small enough that it doesn't change too many weight characteristics of the gun. Too bad it doen't hold well with lots of automatic fire. I could see the thing bending and warping at the end because it was too hot.
This particular suppressor was just a first prototype to look at the strength of the suppressor body ( the wall thickness was just 0.25 mm thicker than on a regular SL5 model ) There was a specific reason why a suppressor this small was trialed. The suppressor was also fine, no warping, bending or any other damage to it.
I will never use that in the middle of the night, you might as well shoot yourself with that torch at the end of your gun. highly visible during the night, i think there is room for improvement
Can you light a cigarrete with that?

It looks that way, but it is actually the carbon deposits in the silencer that are burning, not the silencer itself.
