it is not true the Alphabet is called GEEZ which is Originated in south Yemen Captics about 48 years a go there was not the so called Amharic Alphabet it was just adapted lately. but today it is not only belong Amhara language. it fits All Semetic Languages of Ethiopia Including Eritrea.
