Motellife, Marilyn manson is not goth. Though many goths like him, his style is not goth, his music is not goth. Many goths like Culture Club or NiN, it does not make them goth. Real goth is Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sex Gang Children, Specimen etc. Manson is a metal singer with a shock-look that could be mistaken for goth, tho it has nothing to do with the gothic subculture.

Manson is no genius. Even my little niece can notice he's stolen countless of ideas from good artists. Even his whole look and the whole Brian Warner/Marilyn Manson thing is, well, copied: David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust, diff. "colored" eyes: David Bowie, the whole shock rock thing?: Alice Cooper.
