i have epilepsy but where i come from people dont make fun of these things. even though its very easy to notice my tics.
life with epilepsy is hard. i understand things slower, when i was younger i always had to watch everyone ride the bicycle, swim in the pool or go on the field trip while i knew i cant do it.
most of the times i had to lie so they let me do those things.
whats really bothering me is that the public doesnt aware enough and not enough funding for research.
i'm very happy to see this video because i was able to relate with their stories. i have epilepsy for more than 30 yrs already it was diagnosed in 1987. i hope that in time epilepsy will be given importance here in the Philippines, many are suffering but few are aware of the facts about epilepsy and many thought that it is just a joke or some kind of mental disorder. i hope that soon they would be able to find cure for it.
this was a touching video. i myself suffer from Epilepsy. i was diagnosed when i was a sophmore in high school but was told i probably had Epilepsy since i was young. i would see things that i had already happened then i would have a blackout spell and not remember what had happened and get be very tired.
Watching this video has me in tears. I am epileptic myself and started having them at age 17. It has been a difficult thing in my life, but God has blessed me with the strength and endurance to be able to accept it and keep going. My heart hurts for all those others out there suffering from this. I have prayed over all of you in this video. God bless, and don't give up hope.
interesting to see a parents perspective. I know that my parents will always be "walking on eggshells" and waiting for a call to say I'm in hospital or that something dreadfull has happened to me.

This was extremely touching, and I hope you don't mind me using it for a presentation I am doing for a Disabilities Studies course.
