@fredo69 - The Instinct is awful. Sometimes I try to read the news articles with the built-in Pocket Express app and it becomes a ticking time bomb on when it will just randomly launch the built-in browser. Almost every feature is buggy, needlessly limited, or both. As for Opera, it's better than the default browser, but buggy as hell. 5.0 shouldn't have even been released for the Instinct since it's just not compatible, It will be a long time before I buy another State-of-the-art phone.

i have the instinct and you can view the web in a couple of modes. and don't call it the iphony, your not funny. and if you don't like the phone get a different one!

@BabyGirl7321 - The problem with the Instinct is that most of the problems aren't going to be noticed for a while (like the numerous and needless space and size limitations). Other problems come across like a fluke until you encounter them so many times you realize it's a real software bug. Most of this realization occurs well outside the 30 day return window, so on day 31 you're stuck with the POS unless you want to pay a fortune on the hopes that another phone isn't just as bad.

The instinct MR4 update fixed any LCDUI keyboard issues with third party apps, actually you can just download Opera Mini from the site and it will work perfectly on Instinct. 4.2 is no longer beta its live now

I COPY AND PASTED THIS FROM ANOTHER SITE.The latest and best version (4.1) of Mini installs and starts up but there is no way to bring up the Instinct's virtual keyboard to enter URLs or fill in web forms. Also Mini 4.1 only works once. If you shut Mini down and try to restart it, it hangs on loading and refuses to run again until un-installed and re-installed......IS THIS TRUE?IF SO,HAS IT OR WILL IT BE FIXED?sorry for the caps

Opera mini is super fast. The instinct network is super fast. If you've tried opera mini on the Samsung Instinct it is wifi speed.

The video was shot so that Opera (which is based in Europe and doesn't have access to Sprint's US network) can see that they don't need the real phone to build Opera Mini for Instinct. They can just use the emulator.
