  • good laser / bad video

  • @WorldCrack

    *Amazing Laser*

It took over 20 hours of editing using a not so great software. Can you make a better video with FlipShare?

  • @WorldCrack Good laser / Good video

Why would it be a bad video? Quality is nice and it doesnt matter how it's edited, it's about the laser dude, not the rest.

  • also did the spreader attachment come with your order or did you get it/ make it seperate?

  • @CluckCluckBoomz

The spreader attachment is actually the Diffraction Gratings (not attachable) which are also available on the website, read the video description for more info about the products.

Yes, you would be able to see the dot on the building but it would be much larger in diameter, binoculars would help for seeing it more clearly.

  • IF you were to shine this on buildings 500m away at night, could you see the dot?

  • Epic distrubed music:D.Epic lasers!!!...together they are an epic video!!!!

  • i wish these were legal in syd :(

  • 6:27

    Jedi Battle!

  • what do people use these for?

  • @AmazingSuperStar1

The video shows several applications for lasers...

  • @JOEPROv2 i only see it being pointed at random places and lighting stuff on fire

  • @AmazingSuperStar1

Well, going from those two things. Pointing at random places represents astronomy, a safety beacon/self defense tool, and a flashlight. Lighting stuff on fire represents burning, cutting and etching capability.

  • Great video! Just a question tho: You see the bit where you'd used a diffraction grating on trees at approx 100feet, if I where to do this in say a large hall or stadium with smoke, would I see all the beams instead of just the dots at the target surface? So it would look like a really large rave laser? Many thanks

  • @AJ90NI

Yes, but it depends on how dense the fog is. You might see the dot in a larger area, I was in like a 15x15 room and I couldn't see the dot on the wall until I was about 5 ft away.

  • were on roosvelt, bustleton? or red lion? :)))

  • @lexousa

It was shot at the Wyncote Towers.

  • @Akaalis. dude i would kill for a 5w handheld laser. KILL! wating for my 1w spartan to come fron dragonlasers myself. Its the coolest way to light a bonfire EVER!

  • thumbs up how can u dislike this video???

  • Can you please tell me where you purchased your goggles?

  • @burritomaker69

    They are from Dragonlasers.

  • i heard that the employees whom work in the manufacturing facilities which produce these lasers have made personal ones for themselves which exceed the power levels of 5mw.

They're like practically taking home portable incinerator beams with them. Dam I envy those guys.

  • @Akaalis

I'm not sure if they make the lasers themselves or buy bulk orders from a wholesaler. But I'm sure they take home their own products rather than buying them elsewhere.

  • @Akaalis doesn't 1W exceed the power level of 5mw?

  • nice vid, subbed

  • Comment removed

  • Where is this, looks like LA. Nice laser, be careful

  • @juniortore1

    It is Northeast of Philly.

  • @JOEPROv2 Ahh, I knew it looked like a big city in the background.

  • Do these ship to the US without being seized by customs?

  • @TheNextHendrix14

Usually, most of them make it through with no problem but occasionally they are seized. I'd say Dragonlasers has the best track record.

  • Well, these are legal, but shouldn't be marked as laser pointers, as the legal limit to a laser "pointer" is 5mw. If you buy one with the intention on using it for experimentation, then it's legal to own ANY power laser. Also, the damage done by a laser of even this power is nothing when compared to the destructive power of a .22 pistol/rifle.

  • @ZPDesigns

    You also are 100% correct. : )

  • @ZPDesigns are you stupid?

  • @charg2456 What? What was that for? It is legal to own these, it's quite powerful, but nothing in comparison to even the weakest of projectile weaponry. I sell lasers of all types for a living dude, I hope people will see that guns are far, far, FARRRRRR more dangerous.

  • @ZPDesigns well its kinda common sence that any gun is more dangerous..but on the other hand common sence dont exsist anymore

  • if you sold lasers for a living you would know that any laser above 75mw can send you instantly blind

  • @Michaelrlz Duh dude, do you think you're speaking to a child? I know that even my 20mw laser could blind instantly. I don't deny this fact. Don't assume that you know more about these than others(-=

  • @Michaelrlz By looking at the beam, or direct eye contact?

  • Well, these are legal, but shouldn't be marked as laser pointers, as the legal limit to a laser "pointer" is 5mw. If you buy one with the intention on using it for experimentation, then it's legal to own ANY power laser. Also, the damage done by a laser of even this power is nothing when compared to the destructive power of a .22 pistol/rifle.

  • @ZPDesigns

    You are 100% correct.

  • lol the spartan lights up the hole room with the fog machine

  • This video shows you shining this laser around the streets. Do you understand that a quick flash across someone/some animal's eyes would blind them? The blink reflex is not fast enough to save your eye with lasers this powerful, even hundreds of meters away.

This is exactly why these things shouldn't be commercially available.

  • @jfdiehl

Why yes, I do understand that a quick flash could seriously damage eyes. In the video, did you see how I changed the direction I was pointing the laser to avoid most cars and buildings? At hundreds of meters away, the power of the laser is significantly less meaning that a .00001 second flash probably won't do much damage from that distance. Safety glasses are as advertised as the laser itself and only morons would point a laser recklessly.

  • @JOEPROv2 Never the less, You actions as a laserist are irresponsible. If you are aware of the risk and consequence then you should not project the beam out doors. No if's .... no but's ... you are in the wrong. No excuse.

  • @petermines

I would say that my actions as a laserist are very responsible. I use the required safety wear, watch for and avoid people and objects, and inform all spectators of the risks. Projecting the beam outdoors is perfectly fine as long as you know what you're doing and what not to hit. You are wrong for being a hypocrite because no laser enthusiast can say that they have never shined one outdoors. You sound like a hater to me.

  • 2 questions... are those tenergy 900mah 3v cr123a batteries? and did you get 500 bonus points for this video from dragon lasers on their sight?

  • @MaNGLeDSHaDoW

Yes, the batteries are those. I bought the charger combo pack and two extra batteries and everything works fine. Yes, I got the 500 points once they posted their edited (shortened) version of the video. It's on dragonlasersfanman's page.

  • Why don't I hear about these things when I'm a kid, and Santa still comes to my house for free...

  • hi friend

can you tell my how can get a matrix for the laser ... ?

  • @Firesaw808

I used the Transmission Matrix and Transmission Beam Fan diffraction gratings from dragonlasers . com.

  • Hey man. Do you find that the rectangular beam affects the Spartans burning ability?

    Pls answer Tks.

  • @FISHURMOMBALL

I don't think the rectangular beam affects the power that much. It might though. It'd probably be more powerful if you kept the laser perfectly still. Also, you can't really tell it's rectangular unless you're looking through safety glasses.

  • @JOEPROv2 Ok thanks man.

  • Hi, is this laser really that strong. I've bought the 95mW Viper from Dragonlasers and that dot is extremely bright. To the camera the Blue laser doesn't look that bright. What's your opinion? And does the colour affect much to the burning ability?

  • @snemeis90

Hello. Yeah, the Spartan dot engulfs the dot of the 75mw Viper in the video. I used a Flip Mino which isn't exactly the best camera to record lasers. You can see how the blue laser overpowered the camera in the fog. The color of the laser doesn't really affect the burning ability, it's the color of what you're burning and how it absorbs the laser color. 1W is just really powerful and regardless of color, it'll burn like a champ.

  • @JOEPROv2 So you think the spartan is worth his money? (I hope you can understand what I mean)

  • @snemeis90

Yes, the Spartan is definately worth the money. It's a better product (than the arctic) and Dragonlasers is very reliable. If you purchase one, I recommend getting safety glasses and some diffraction gratings. Don't forget about the shipping/handling charge. And also you have to purchase the batteries elsewhere. Try all-battery.

  • @JOEPROv2 Thank you for your answer. I have the sefety glasses and one diffraction grating from my other order. The only thing that I worrie about is to power the Spartan with accumulators. As you may know the voltage is lower, but I think it's less expensive.

  • ahah laughed out loud when I saw you burning money. xDD

I can't make my mind on two lasers.. which one have a more visible beam? 200mw green or 1w blue ?

  • @davezzz

The 200mw green (532 wavelength) is more visible than the 1W blue (~447 wavelength). But 200mw green lasers are usually much more expensive.

  • Cool, hope i win it from kipkay's contest.....

  • Goes farther then the eye can see!

  • isn't it illegal to burn money?

  • @ThirdFret

Yes. It's also illegal to own lasers >5mw.

  • @JOEPROv2 illegal to *sell* or *buy* portable lasers >5mw without safety features required for licensing as well as approval of aforementioned licensing.

Also no device may be classified as a 'pointer' or 'surveying instrument' if the output is greater than 5 mw, ever.

Not illegal to 'own', exactly. Different classes of laser have different rules for which features and or licensing they require.

  • @JOEPROv2 Tell that Dragonlasers^^

  • Both the Spartan and the Arctic are quite cool. I wish someone would make safety goggles that are good enough for reflections but are not so protective that you can't see the beam. ie that you can go outside and see the beam but in case you reflect the power is minimized. Also sombody should make an optional sound sound synthiser so that when you turn on these bad boys you can get cool sound effects instead of just silence.

  • @valhala56

Regular sun glasses work pretty well at dimming down the dot/beam. Try one that has a darker tint.

  • how long did it take to come and where did you get it from?

  • @RippinBmore

Took a little over two weeks (normal for USA). I bought everything from dragonlasers.
