The mentality of most people on bicycles is that they are professional bikers who are on a mission from God on White Rock Lake. The fact is that the lake belongs to everyone. Bikers should be limited in where they can speed-bike, flying all around people walking, screaming out, "On your left, On your right, Look out," often cursing persons walking and/or fishing is inexcusable behavior; Bikers should also be required to wear ID # which corresponds to their drivers license.
Many bikers are a constant harassment of others at the lake... flying by people walking at alarming speeds which should not be permitted. One Hispanic infant was trampled by a biker last year, who literally ran over the child with his bike, threw his bike to the ground, picked up the little girl who was about 4 years old, dusted her off in front of grandparents, and then fled, giving no identification!!
Not all, but MANY bikers meddle and are very rude, as though they own the lake!
I remember all of that construction!
