Alex looking in retrospect like the Rab C Nesbitt of rock here. As Lydon is to Steptoe, Alex is to Rab C Nesbitt. Only Alex was original. This is a song I've carried around in my head for a long time. Great to see why.

"Weirdo with the white face" is Zal Cleminson. Even uglier without the clown makeup! On record SAHB blew hot and cold but live they had no betters......saw them 6 times in the mid 70's at various student union gigs. Fantastic show ....superb showmanship and craft. For the record, Zal Cleminson was/is one of most underrated guitarists in the business.
