  • finally i found a video without jumping.. backside to frontside riding, thats what i've failed to learn today

  • Sorry but rotating your upper part of a body isn't correct, all you do should be done with your legs. Bad lesson.

  • this is the best video for beginners, it helped me a lot, thanks!!

  • clicked the link, the website's epic. Much better than the yt vids imo. I reccomend any viewer to go check it

  • Great

  • ay yo.. is that dude from whistler snow school? awesome

  • @iPodkilledMP3 Yes :)

  • i love how smooth 'n relaxed you look in these vids, very good job

  • Your videos are great! I love going through them on your website. They're nice and slow and the captions help a lot.

  • @s1mpl3k1d Good luck :DD

  • Awesome video. I'm going to snowboard next weekend and it's my first time. I'm so excited. :)

  • and wouldn´t be possible somebody to send it to me?? or no..

  • Could someone put down the name of this song???

  • @MrsTeri111 The song doesn't have a name. It was created by our editor using his guitar and a program on the computer.

  • awesome man.. thanks you are the best :]]

this vid helped me a lot

  • What does it mean 'transfer from the toe edge to a flat base' ? D:

  • @CalebJz13 it means from your toe edge(edge facing your toes) you transfer your weight to a regular stance as if you were just going strait, your snowboard would be flat on the ground and not tilted to a toe side or heel side.

  • @aliahaliah Thank you very much! :D

  • @CalebJz13 You need to release the toe edge, by increasing pressure to your front foot and rotating/pointing your upper body downhill. This will allow your snowboard to release the toe edge and the board will go to a flat base and point downhill.

  • i made a snowboard out of a skateboard wiv no wheels and i just keep hitting everyone when it snows!!

  • Thanks Dude!

  • Name of Song??

  • good video. thanks!

  • looks easy on video but when ur supposed to do it...eh

  • I think a great tip is to lean forward when making your turn...

  • @Firestormify OH SHIT :S hahaha sorry dude I was a bit drowzy

  • @Firestormify You might have a Twin snowboard which means both the sides are the same. If your snowboard has writing or patterns, check what direction they are facing and then you could determine which end is which

  • Finally...a good turning video on youtube.

  • finally i found a helpful descriptive vid

  • Comment removed

  • thats definitly the best and most helpful vid on turning ive found! thanks, this should help!

  • @SomeOldGuy97YearsOld Thank you! If you need more information, the full tutorials can be viewed by clicking the link in the video description.

  • best video i've seen!

  • best video i've seen on you tube!

  • If you are regular, your left foot should be on the nose or tip side. To determine for sure which side is the nose, just take a tape measure and check the distance from the center of each binding to the end of the board. The longer of the two is the tip and the shorter the tail. Usually there is a difference of about 2 inches.

  • VERY well done! I've watched dozens of vids, and this series is BY FAR the BEST! THANKS!

  • @EvolvingCreation Thank you! If you need more information, the full tutorials can be viewed on our website. 'HOW TO RIDE' in the snow section. Or please click the link in the description. Also if you have any questions, please ask one of our instructors on the Boardworld Forums.

  • @boardworld can u help me?! 2nd time boarding.my problem,at the top facing down hill (goofy) put pressure on my right foot automatically always turn right end up straight in fall line go way to fast scare my self, lose control & fall! when i start out if i look right i start to go but always end up in the fall line & going super fast!so i end up just breaking the whole time!! how should i start out?

  • @Eliheartsmilo Hey, we can definitely help you. Please go to our website and register an account. Come onto the 'FORUMS' and ask your question there. We have a lot of snowboard instructors to help you and answer your questions.

  • @Eliheartsmilo: What youre probably doing as your turn starts is panicking at the speed and leaning back and away from the hill causing your board to speed up and lose steering. Start your turn with your weight on the front foot. As that begins to take you straight down the hill, point with your front arm where you want to go (your lower body will follow!) and shift your weight back evenly over both feet, this will turn your board. Now bend your knees and dig in your toe edge to stop the board!

  • very well explained - the important thing u can easy forget is the flattening of the board and just try to turn - its taking you down - hurts badly :D

  • it looks so easy but i know when i try it i am going to fall a couple of trys to get. but great vid though.

  • well maybe the guy has a very heavy accent in that case captions would be better

  • I wouldn't mind the snowboarder speaking either

  • thanks this really helped

  • i suggest better music, and speaking instead of captions. That would make these videos mmuch better
