@JoeJacari That's all he hits hard is drums. I 'll knoeck the skankmeat drummer out on a set or in the ring too.W/ease and pleasure. mellencamp/fogerty basic rock chumpster.
I always buy cheap sticks in large packages. Like 10 or 12 at a time, and they only cost me 4 dollars a pair. They are not top notch quality, but as long they're hickory it's okay.
I still don't get how you break drumsticks. I have a lot of sticks but never due to breakage, I've never broken a pair of sticks, infact I still have a pair that are 6 years old and in pretty good shape. And i play rimshots all the time, though I'm not playing metal or anything
Hm, that's interesting. I don't play metal either (more like rock funk and jazz) but I break sticks every two weeks. The rim of my snare drum just slowly eats my stick away, till it breaks. Sometimes, wood chips start flying around when I am playing. I am not a hard hitter and the rim doesn't have sharp edges. My sticks are made of hickory, which is quite heavy and durable wood.
weird, i play mostly jazz too and id call myself a soft player if i had to describe it. Maybe look into different sticks, although like you say, hickory is usually pretty good. But did u say u buy cheap bulk packs? It could be that they're manufactured differently from other pairs. Try some vic firths or vaters or somethin. Either that or my snare hoop is very forgiving!
Yeah, I buy cheap bulk packs. I never buy Vic Firth's because they are so expensive, but if they really last longer, it might pay off. I am going to give it a try soon!
@drummerforreal1
You remind me of this YouTube drummer, Gary Lefrancois who thinks he's "the best" and the next Buddy Rich...
In other words, a sociopathic, narcissistic dreamer.
Kenny has the magic "X" factor. Nice, meaty, fat and authoritative drums with steak, eggs and sour dough bread thrown in for rich flavor.
It takes talent and years to play simple and say a lot with a little.
Kenny is a rock soldier that always delivers the goods. He steps up and throws down Mr. Wingbat.

Some drummers sound like a drum machine + a machine gun.
Kenny brings the fat, human element to drums.
Plus, he hits so hard he could knock dudes out in the Ultimate Fighting Championship or be a body guard to Hollywood stars.
He can do many things!
