That's y American couldn't make a good car review, is this is that but is all empty, talk more about the car itself that will make ur point rather clearly
THE 7th GENERATION OF EXACT SAME THING. IT'S BEEN 11 YEARS SINCE I STOPPED WORKING FOR CAR DEALERSHIPS AND IN MY OPINION 911 WAS ONE OF THE CHEAPER FEELING CARS I EVER CAME ACROSS. MERC E-CLASS NEVER STRIKD ME AS A $70'000 AUTOMOBILE - AT LEAST ON CITY STREETS. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHERE ALL THE HYPE ABOUT GERMAN CARS COME FROM OTHER THAN THEM PAYING OFF JOURNALIST IN MY BELIEF. THEY'RE INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN.
NOW THIS PORCHE LOOKS 90% THE SAME AS IT DID 11 OR EVEN 13 YEARS AGO. 7TH gen!
911s have always been known as fuel efficient sports cars. Everyone else uses V8s and V10s, but the 911 has stuck by a flat-6 from jump. Another point proving...this guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
This guys comments in order: 1) "It's all about luxury." 2) "Porsche were not very luxurious, just about performance." 3) "The 911 is now all about luxury" 4) "Let's be honest, though, this 911 is all about performance." IDIOT REVIEWER
@daibadrumu Fail for Porsche and all the true 911 fans. A seventh gear on a manual tranny seems unnecessary on a car that should be all about performance. I guess they are aiming at reducing fuel consumption. Bad move in my opinion. But then again the people that by this car rarely ever think of shit like that.
@MichaelGonzal Actually it seems really logical. The main reason you buy a german car is for it to be efficient and reliable ( quite frankly porsche is the only german manufacturer to achieve that). Not many buy german cars for excitement, i woudln't, they're far too boring and predictable.
@daibadrumu It seems to me that Porsche's pricing for the 911 series is not targeting the average Joe who as you mentioned seeks reliability and low fuel consumption. I think they have that covered with their lower price models. Is it environmentally smart to do it? Of course, but will many find that the 7th gear is far to much (will fuck up the gear ratios), we'll see. "Excitement" is definitely a factor when it comes to Porches. They're known for great racing heritage.
@MichaelGonzal They're also known for being genuine rich brofag cars and have too few cylinders. I would still go for a maserati or a db9 for the price.
This guy is so confused. He classifies luxury in 1990's standard. I bet if you put him inside a 2012 BMW 760Li he will be speechless. A freakin power seat boggled his mind...What a nut!
I've really wanted to watch as many new 911 reviews as possible but I'm having a hard time getting through this one. It's too damn luxurious for me to stand
"before we talk about perfromance lets talk about fuel economy..." he goes ahead and tells us what fuel saving technologies there are but dosent tell us what the miles per gallon is - what a prick
My dad and I test drove one today, and you really do recognize the luxury of the interior. We have a 3-series and the interior of the new 991 is far superior. It rivals Aston Martin. But the crazy thing is that Porsche clearly was not trying to make luxury the primary focus as this fool suggests. If you bury your foot, you'll be up to 120 in seconds.
u kno its a dam shame how american journalist brag so much about german car like they so proud of them and they are from america and they dont talk bout the american cars as good as the german, they more proud of german cars than they own,
People don't buy a Porsche 911 for it's luxury. They buy them because of their performance and prestige. There are far more luxurious cars available for a lot less money.
@Portabledexter You mister are a bigger dick yourself. If you watch more he indicates that even with the luxury Porschce is abouit performance. Because of bigger dicks such as yourself, some decent people can't find the truth about products or even pretty much anything.
1. "Because of bigger dicks such as yourself, some decent people can't find the truth about products or even pretty much anything" - How has my post impaired the availability for truth about products in any way?
2. Anyone who can afford a 911 (not you) will be able to judge the "luxury" for themselves in the showroom. The performance is a bit harder to judge without taking it on a track.
@boombap420 I think you got the wrong end of the stick. Dunno what you think I meant, but maybe you thought my quotes of Fussinated was actually me.
I already know the new 911s is faster round the Nurburgring than the old GT3, there is definitely some dark magic going on somewhere.
The point I was trying to make is that Porsche is all about performance FIRST, and luxury second (as long as it doesn't interfere with the performance).
The 991 is also possibly the best looking 911 ever? (maybe)
@Portabledexter o shit my bad dude! I didnt realize you were quoting and disagreeing. I c now though. damn youtube and its out of context-ness. lol ya man that stats pretty crazy eh? imagine what the 991 gt3 rs will do (if they make one that is) scary.
As for fussinated, i'd suggest not feeding the troll. Or you'll end up with one at your backdoor begging for more every day lol.
Sorry bout the misunderstanding, i guess its me that fails lol
if i want to have fun i would just buy a S2000 for 30000dollars and spend the rest of the money with upgrades. I just need a car that has 250 HP or more, manual gearbox, no fancy electronics, and no luxury. Thats the car i want to have fun.
@cardude1992 I wouldn't think of the Nissan compared to this car, not because the Nissan is a bad car, but because the level of refinement just doesn't come close to the Porsche. You can beat the Porsche to death, but you'll break the Nissan. You'll have a fashionable car 20 years from now with the Porsche, but no girl will want to pull up to the prom in your 2012 Nissan 25 years from now. The two just don't compare.
