i remember this very well with cablevision in my area of Reading... I remember my parents paid £12 per month for this service. it was rubbish

@chaosreturnsforgood76 Cablevision also seems to be an existing cable operator over in the US and/or Canada that other posters seems to be confusing with this. Whether they're actually related somehow I don't know (Rediffusion was a British company that had operations across the ex-Empire/Commonwealth... places like Canada ...So Yeah)

Rediffusion Cablevision was a subscription cable TV service from 1984 owned by Associated Rediffusion Limited and the ident was from 1985

Actually, this is the old UK cable service (hence the Rediffusion name and star logo)

@GeoNeilUK Rediffusion used to be an ITV London Weekday contractor from 1955-1968 before Rediffusion CableVision was launched in 1984

This cable system was in the Montreal from the early 1950's until the mid 1960's . it is now Videotron.
