These movies inspire me and are filled with a beautiful and positive Christian message. I wish I could meet Peter Jackson and tell him what an AWESOME job he did!
I have tried to say this to so many people, but they never understand! I wish that every time I watched it, would be like the first time. Not knowing anything - and feeling that constant excitement for what is next.
I can't believe I was only old enough to watch it in theathers when Return of the King came out. So dissappointed that I dind't get to see the first two ion cinemas. I hope they'll bring them out again, just to honor them, you know? That would be awesome. and even though I've seen all three of the movies a bazillion times, I would pay a lot of money to go see it ipn theathers again :) anyways, this story lade my life. I owe so much to J.R.R.Tolkien and Peter Jacson.
This might be the best trilogy, but not the best film ever.As a matter of fact, Saving Private Ryan only beats every LOTR movie by 1%, which proves this trilogy is that good IMO.On my list of fav movies, these LOTR films are in second place, and possibly gonna be moved to third when the Hobbit comes out, but that would be very, very hard to achieve.Mere words just can't describe why this trilogy is so good,it just is.Better than both Star Wars and Toy Story, it's the best trilogy ever...
My parent's generation had Star Wars as their best saga of that time. My time as a child was definitely Lord of the Rings. I hope the next great trilogy will be as fantastic as those 2 franchises.
ok i love lord of the rings dnt get me wrong ik it better then any1 on the face of the earth ik every god damn word but 1 thing thats pisses me off is on the new blu ray 1 it only has sam frodo aragorn gandalf and arwen whgat the fuck! shes in the movie for maybe 1 20th of the time. also at the end of this near 600 it shows wormtounge after boromir like wtf boromir was in the original fellowship
@Schattenu That piece of music is from the track "Forth Eorlingas" on "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" soundtrack, which is the track that plays during the charge of Eomer's eored down the hill at dawn to win the Battle of Helm's Deep.
I have loved those movies since the first moment I ever saw them. They are the best movies ever created(in my opinion). If Peter Jackson ever reads this comment: You rock!
When Shadowfax finishes going up those stairs and onto the wall, he turns his head slightly towards the soldiers at the back as if saying beat that two leggers.
Many said, including the late great Kubrick, that this trilogy was unfilmable. Peter Jackson proved them all wrong with one great swoop, and even though I believe that Tolkien would not have been very appreciative of the trilogy, it still remains as possibly the greatest trilogy ever made :)
@azeemotron It's called 'In Dreams'. It's on the Fellowship of the Ring original soundtrack at the end of the track 'The Breaking Of The Fellowship' or on the Fellowship of the Ring Complete Recordings' during 'The Road Goes Ever On Pt. 2'. Or its also in the credits at the end of the first film. Pretty nice song actually.
i made my own supertrailer ever since i saw this...an i just did the new harry potter supertrailer an already thousands viewss!! i took my time making it look just like this an editing it perfect. take a look an u'll love it. i did morealready, Transformers, Fast and the Furious, SAW and others :D
You know, I'm not a "hardcore" LOTR fan, I'm more of a "hardcore" film/movie fan, and one of the many things I love about this trilogy is that these films join people together. I remember me and my dad went to see RotK on opening weekend, and we got to the theater to find a crowded room, and two seats saved for us... by the people that were in the ticket line in front of us! This trilogy is IMO the best of ALL time. Better than Star Wars, better than the new Batman films... just pure amazingness
@IMDBmoderator The song is called "The Breaking of the Fellowship" from the OST and features Edward Ross singing. The singing doesn't start till about 5:20 into the song.
In my opinion, The Lord of the Rings -movies are probably the best movies ever made. There are so many other amazing movies out there but I just can't get enough of this trilogy. I think it's a great story about the importance of friendship and courage. The beautiful music, the wonderful actors and the amazing battle scenes always impress me. I hope these movies will never be forgotten.
AMAZING footage!!! The last one I watched was blurry. I'm exactly 20 seconds into the last one and I saw this one on the options on the right side of the page, saw it looked really high footage, clicked, I'm six seconds into it, paused it, wrote this comment. So far, six seconds in, I'm loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On March 21, 2011, Jackson has begun filming the hobbit. the original bilbo actor has been replaced by an actor who stars in The Office, he's really good. The other Bilbo actor was too old. The film will be in two parts, each long but epic.
@nave712 yes, in the special features it shows them and the actual actors. Lol i remember in the third film and pippins all HES ALIVE and faramirs dad is HES DEAD and pippin is hobbit size, then big in the interviews.
This entire trilogy is so f***ing brilliant, Peter Jackson & c:o have really succeeded in making these movies real masterpieces, with the third one being the greatest.
This trailer is pretty awesome too... anyone know the name of the cool song playing from 5:58
Best book adaptation ever! I know a lot was changed in the films from Tolkien's books, but I believe they were necessary for cinematic purposes. Heck, without these movies, I probably would've never become aware of the Lord of the Rings, or the Hobbit for that matter.
I don't care what anyone says, LOTR was epic film-making at its best. I don't care if it was not completely the same as the book, I don't care if they changed things, because the amount of efforts put into making this trilogy, the works done in front of the camera and behind the camera, it was simply stunning and amazing. This film trilogy deserves all the fame and success.
@ResidentEvilEFTN Actually, the enitre song is called the Breaking Of the Fellowship. The lyrics are in the song. So theretically your wrong as In Dreams is in The Breaking of the Fellowship soundtrack.
I hope The Hobbit's production will turn okay ... Those three movies are my 3 favourite big adventure movies. Can you tell me one single movie which reaches LOTR quality ? Just AVATAR is that good, the rest is shit compared to those !
@guyomC75 Avatar is all CGI, very little actual plot line, which it stole off Pocahontas anyway, and seriously lacks the depth that Lord of the Rings has...
@LesterCornflakes I agree. I actually liked Avatar but I do think a lot of the hype is wanting to believe so badly that is better than it really is, let's be honest the storyline was not original and the film is full of cliches. LOTR IMO has more depth and the storyline is awesome......again just my opinion.
@janellejulianajoy I didn't mind Avatar either, so much, but it's a movie that I watch once and I'm done with, whereas LotR is like, I can watch them dozens of times and it still leaves me with something to really think about and that's what I love about the films.
I will never forget the hours when I first saw this movie... I just read the books and the movie came and I was totally ... in love with this story and world and than with the movies. :D I can't find words to describe the feeling.
I cant wait to see the movies that will beat Lord of the Rings... if it can be! Cuz these are best movies of all the time!! Romance - Fear - Action - even Humor! It's the BEST!
I <3 LOTR!!!! this trailer is AWESOME, these are my 3 fav. movies. i think i'm gonna watch the entire trilogy back to back to, but i'm gonna watch the extended edtion of all of them! ^_^
I have seen these movies countless times and they always bring out every emotion in me. Even though I know whats coming, these movies still have this effect on me. The one one word I would use to describe them has been immensely overused lately, but this is the best definition: Epic
got done watching the lord of the rings on TNT this past weekend and even after all of these years after (9 since film one!) its still as epic as ever. brought back memories while I was watching it.
Avatar was epic in its own right, but doesn't match a single thread to that of the Lord of the Rings.
Agreed. This film has and will continue to age like wine. Avatar is certainly quite an achievement, but it's not even Cameron's greatest work. The Lord of the Rings owns it, and it was what convinced Jim that Avatar was now possible (hell, he even made it in New Zealand with Weta Digital).
I just looked through all of the music on the three LOTR soundtracks, (bored in a pointless class) and I couldn't find it. Might be a track they made just for the trailer.
What is the music at 2m55 ? please ? :)

Song at 4:52 ?
I can't find it

I just looked through all of the music on the three LOTR soundtracks, (bored in a pointless class) and I couldn't find it. Might be a track they made just for the trailer.

maybe you were looking for requiem for a dream?

That doesn't sound like Requiem for a Dram though...

La mejor trilogía llevada al cine. Van a pasar años hasta que se hagan otra serie de películas como esta.
