I use cheap strat copy, boss OD-3 and lame solid state marshall mg100, and with neck pickup I get really nice tone for this song

hmm, I see...

it's kinda hard to play a song which is not your own note-for-note, and with feeling. I don't think I played it completely without feeling, but it's true, I did concentrate more on accuracy than emotional expression. I didn't want to stray from the original.

This definately reminds me of my fave Prog Rock band from Germany, a great band called "Nektar". However this solo

No, I learnt it by ear. Originaly, the song is tuned down a half step, but I transposed the backing track to concert pitch using Adobe Audition. I use the same program for recording.

XD don't worry, you'll get used to it. If you do find it somewhat difficult, try finding good videos of Andy playing it and just looking at what he does. Last resort -> Guitar Pro tabs.

Hey anongrey, im not a big fan of ibanez but his at100 is his main tone source after his hands of course. Playing this in a les paul sounds nice, but the single coils have a nice and soft sound that andy likes very much, also the thin neck helps too. BTW, amazing cover nikola, 5/5. Keep it up bro!

I've started playing guitar 11 years ago (!) but have only been seriously practicing the last 4-5 years. It took me about 2-3 weeks to learn Gypsy, that was last year. I've been playing it every once in a while since, all the while improving the nuances, and there are still some parts which cause me problems.... so it's all a constant work in progress, I guess :)
