  • Paul is THE Beatle.

  • I wonder why they never put this on a record. It's a very good song.

  • ''Perfectooooooo'' yeeeeeah :3

  • Wow, imagine singing a song you wrote over 40 years ago.

  • @gringolazlo 40? more like 53!!

  • @theyodaclub it can't be 53 years!! George was 15, so it was in 1958... which are 46 years later

  • That would be a good country song.

  • Amazing!!

  • youtube.com/watch?v=wEzFOQfEEbo

  • at first i wondered why they shouted olé olé olé, there not at a football game, but then he said they were spaniards.

  • @Jontenn no shit its says it in the description sherlock

  • Lennon however, without any dissension please, sang lead on the recording which cost an incredible 17 quid, legend has it. which was HUGE money in the late 50s. i'm informed it was only 17 shillings not 17 quid. sorry!

  • Lennon however, without any dissension please, sang lead on the recording which cost an incredible 17 quid, legend has it. which was HUGE money in the late 50s.

  • @Sunburn190 You know this is Lennon/McCartney Right

  • @superflufy Do you mean who sang it (Paul, John & George) or who wrote it? The Anthology 1 CD says Paul & George.

  • EXCELLENT

  • even though i think John is a better song writer Paul is def a top 5 song writer its not just about the writing its the passion behind the writing and no one beats Lennon

  • @Repeater09Games I think Paul writes more commercial song right? But obviously if you listen to lennon solo discography, it way more deep (the lyrics and all).

  • @joepicard yeah you are right Paul is a commerical song writer i think he writes about things around him...like julian with hey jude and such but then makes it around what ppl would like....John on the other hand could give to shits what people think he just wanted to make music that had passion in it and every word he sung had passion in it ...thats the difference

  • @joepicard

Paul writes a lot of stuff that is more accessible to a general audience but I would not call it "commercial" as if he wrote specifically with $ signs in mind. He looks out his window and writes about the life we all share, the only difference is he crafts it into a beautiful, thought provoking masterpiece. Well, then again Paul wrote Helter Skelter so all theories and generalizations are moot.

  • any thing for you Paul

  • Paul could have put in a good word for George...Seeing this is the only song he wrote with George

  • @turfterror The problem is that he didn't write it with George. It was Paul's song just like all of his other songs. George was responsible for the lead guitar part (as he was on every other Beatle song that he does not get a writing credit on.) Through a misunderstanding of crediting, George wound up as a co-writer. But if he were around today he would be amused. George wrote his share of hits on his own.

  • @turfterror

    whats your problem man

  • "Me, John, George, and two other guys."

C'mon Paul, those "two other guys" chipped in to make the record, and one of them kept it in pristine condition for over 20 years, the least you can do is say their names!

  • Yuo could tell the Buddy Holly influence on this song. I thought this was a Buddy Holly"s when I first heard it. It's Paul's? Did he ever consider recording this officially in his albums? He should.

  • I love how, in order for the Spanish to understand him, he talks in a Spanish accent! aha. Fucking love Paul. I'm only 16, so never had chance to see the Beatles, but i really fucking want to see McCartney live!

  • @7694jack trust me I was 16 when I saw him a year ago... a few tears shed out my eyes :) it's beautiful hearing good music

  • RIP John (he sang it originally) .///0-0\\\

  • i love paul is so great!!

  • Wow I love you Paul!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know as young as they were, this song is pretty good. Even though Paul wrote this song which I think was recorded right after John's mom died, John sings lead on this song on the original version which has a clear Elvis influence to it.

  • @6021diesel I definitely agree. this song freaking sends chills throughout my body just cause it has that special kind of sound to it lol

  • @6021diesel it was paul and geroge how mad In spite of all danger

  • @6021diesel It also has a buddy holly influence. Right around 3:35 you can hear it.

  • legend

  • Why does he speak slowly like no one in Spain speaks English?

  • @mu301nh Because he doesn't really speak Spanish & is having a semi-difficult time doing it, but he's trying to do it right.

  • @mu301nh I'm sure it's easier to understand.

  • I love you, Paul McCartney :) <3

  • @nichay3456 Check out my channel for beatles videos

  • I heard he had a difficult time getting the rights to this Song.

  • Little gem.

    Simply and amazing song.

    Perfect Paul.

  • What was he? Like 14 when he wrote this? Amazing.

  • @gdsza Like 21 but close enough :)

  • wow- I've never heard him play this live before- I love when he does old Beatles stuff not jsut the most well known stuff.

  • Legendary...Timeless Sir Paul McCartney!

  • Beautiful!

  • paul regresa a mexico!!!!

  • Perfect artist, knows hows to connect with crowd...beautiful song from the younger days

  • me encana como habla el español perfecto

  • I wish I could see your show someday in Colombia, I'd do anything to be there....

Como me gustaría ver tu show algún día en Colombia...

  • I love it how some the crowd does the harmony bit that's on the original that Paul doesn't even tell them about(the bit after"if you'll be true to me"). They've obviously listened to the Anthology a million times like I have!

I wonder if I'll manage to overcome my Beatles addiction some day...god I hope not!:)

  • @comanchio1976 Why anyone would want to overcome their addiction to The Beatles I have no idea.

  • PAUL.

  • amazing, what a great crowd

  • i did a cover of this, check it out and comment if you get the chance please :)

  • Sorry didnt realize it was already corrected.

  • @NinjaKiller112 what..?

  • @JakesCakesAndSnakes Yikes, sorry I didn't see this post right above the other answer. Sorry.

  • George and Paul wrote this. But nice try.

  • john and paul wrote it.

  • @JakesCakesAndSnakes Paul wrote this, with some help from George on the solo. :)

  • Spanish public is very good !

  • Y yo estuve allí. Amazing!!! Bonitos recuerdos. Paul is the number 1, he is the only one in fact.

  • i really love this song:]

    one of my favs.:)

  • wow this song is about 50 yrs old and he remembers it well

  • 2:28. "Perfecto". This man is really, really great. Probably the best songwriter ever.

  • Probably?

  • @sgtbeatles4 what if John lennon was the best mind behind the beatles? I mean, Paul McCartney is also good but I think John was the best between those four amazing men. Also, people think the best beatle is Paul while I think they both were really great and without John or Paul (or even both) Beatles wouldn't have been what they have...sorry my english :P

  • Probably?!?!! 100% definitely.

  • @sgtbeatles4 lennon harrison and mccartney would be the best songwriters in history....

  • @sgtbeatles4 according to Guiness book of world records he is

  • @sgtbeatles4 You know John wrote this, right?

  • @sgtbeatles4 PROBABLY??? ;)

  • Even when I first heard the bad quality recording they made back in ~1959, I still thought this song had a great tune. So it was lovely to hear Paul perform it live all these years later.

  • It's Paul's song. He is on record as saying that the McCartney/Harrison credit only came about because at that time they didn't understand how songwriting credits worked; here, Paul wrote the song, and George "wrote" the guitar solo.

The Anthology 1 version, incidentally, is edited; Paul pressed up around 50 copies of the original acetate and gave those away as gifts to family and friends. Only those copies have the song at its full running time of 3:25.

    I should get out more.

  • you and me both pal

  • @DarrenSW have any of the longer versions ever been released or copied then uploaded to the web?

  • @DarrenSW no, John and Paul worked together on this, it was before George was writing anything and Ringo wasnt even part of the band back then.- this was the Qearryemn.

  • @DarrenSW "In Spite of All the Danger" is one of the first songs recorded by The Quarrymen, then composed of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, pianist John Lowe and drummer Colin Hanton.

The song was written by McCartney and Harrison, and is the only song to credit the two alone

  • @DarrenSW i guess it's impossible to hear the full version these days, right?? u_u... feel in love with the song, indeed.

  • @DarrenSW i know what you mean...but it's nice to know this kind of thing.

  • @DarrenSW really? i wnat to hear that longer version

  • MCCARTNEY- HARRISON!!!!!!

  • ^^ yeah!

  • lol i love the beginning! ole ole ole oleeeee... soccer. lol.

    hahaha i love Spanish people!

    great performance, Paul!!!

  • this song is an Harrison/Mc Cartney original. The only one they composed together.

  • The drummer that play in the original recording of this song was"Colin Hanton". In addition, also play John, Paul, George and a one pianist called "John Duff Lowe". The facing A of the disc it was "That'll be the day "of "Budy Holly"

La cara A del disco era "That'll be the day" de "Budy Holly"

  • hahahhahaha

  • So sweet!! I love this song!! He played it when he came to my hometown back in 05!!

  • this is cool

  • Awesome! It's so charming to hear Paul do one his early songs from 1958, in this age where songs are forgotten after 10 minutes.

  • i love paul george john pete and the other on the quarry men.

    nice band.

  • pete did not join til late 1960 this was recored in 1958

  • my dad was eating with all the quarry men.

    and i'mk not and idiot.

  • Again, Pete did not join until 1958 and on the original recording of this song, there is NO drummer. But if memory serves me correctly, the drummer in 58 was a guy by the name of Tommy Moore

  • Love this song, is it available somewhere besides anthology. Looking for better quality!

  • I don't think so. Paul bought the master.
