In my opinion as a cod player, BF3 is better than cod MW3, the maps on cod have no long range fighting capabiltiy at all and you cant climb objects anymore. Cod creators probs got told off so hard for number of glitches theyve had that jumping is no usefull except to do stupid tricks n drop shots.
Game is still broken on PS3. Input lag, dying instantly, no hit notification, and there's something with hit detection or maybe it's just the input lag. Ad no its not cus I suck. I was a beast at BC2 and now I can barely get a kill and I can't even stay on a moving target in BF3.

Ok it seems im the only one asking this, do all the friggin guns do the same damage? All i see is rpm and distance, none of the guns show their damage -_- So from what im seeing is the best gun is the one with the lowest recoil and highest rpm.

5:30 the guy spasming on the ground is actually running around shooting people, but his body stays there so he's invisible. That, the "Floor eating you glitch", and the "Run around for 10 seconds after you've died" glitch are my only 3 problems with the beta.
Yes, BF3 is 10x times better than BFBC2 but only on PC. I prefer BFBC2 graphics because gameplay is much more important than how many rocks or grass you have on map ;p

@gethsoftware The bugs are replicable, the guns are unbalanced, friend/squad system fails miserably, there is only a map and a gametype, and I haven't even started on the spot/flash light.
@ProblmSolvd I can tell you that I played Gears for the whole Beta and every week they changed something. Not only that but they also changed things between the Beta and the full game. And EA and DICE only have 3 weeks, not even that as the game needs to be on the shelves before that by a few days.

@gethsoftware They are, hence the shotgun comment; which was about 2 feet, thanks for assuming. As for the light, you might not be playing the game right since you haven't played the first base. And I'm pretty sure they could do more than one map and not have the full game as other Battlefields tend to have 5-6 maps. As for the squad system, if you select "yes, put me in a squad" then you get put in separate squads and if you select "no, I'll do it later" then none of you get put in any squad.
played the beta and its NO fun! people just camp in every bush and you die 2 sec after you spawn. The beta told me one thing, if I want a nice shooter buy cod. Im sorry.

I thought the beta was really fun so I got my friends to download it and play it with me and they all hate it because there were alot of problems like glitches and stuff and my friends think this is almost like the actual game even though its like 70% accurate of what the real game will be like, and they just don't get it. I' m not sure what beta you're talking about but its not 'ready for sale' atm. People are ground glitching . i randomly get stuck sometimes, sometimes I can't sprint or zoom for a few minutes, it only disappears when I crouch or press start. Matchmaking is f'kced up, hit ditection is good imo , when i leave games sometimes my xbox won't leave the 'loading' screen and i have to dashboard. They have a lot of issues to fix. I hope they'll succeed.
@Vingalinga It's just the beta. Most beta's are extremely glitchy at first. I'm sure DICE and EA will fix up some patches and get it working again. They still got 20 days to fix it. But I would suggest waiting to play multiplayer when game comes out, because when BFBC2 did, server crashed bad.
Sometimes I keep shooting from point blank and get killed with one shot! What I am saying is, the hit detection needs some improvement, still. Also it seems to be lagging!
for me- prone was never gone- battle field 2 was the last battlefield game to me- all the others were just realising COD was makin money and copyin- BF is the real game- and this is the sequal
@m200mw I'm pretty sure the bullet drop is in the beta, but it's for the sniper rifles only. Bolt action rifles have more drop and you only get dropping at VERY far distances (I think its even further than BC2, not sure though)
@wgeorgiou There is bullet drop on every single gun, it's just not that noticeable with the other guns because the map is so small and you don't need to compensate for the drop that much.

@Ze0Avenger Your gun classes change depending on what team you're on. If you're on Team A you get the m16 and other guns and if you're on team b you get the aks and stuff.

My experience in the Battlefield beta has been disappointing. Too many snipers and people lying in bushes when you are outside. Too many camping snipers in the subway. Its virtually impossible to tell the teams apart when your running around and i find myself being shot at by my own team half the time.
Its just kind of a frustrating game when you get shot by people hiding in bushes who never move.
@alecjsona never had that issue, ever consider using a tac light so the snipers are blinded + you can see their lens glare when they look at you...so just suppress them

DICE has said that a major patch to fix that issue and several others will be coming out within the next couple days to fix that. As of right now, though, there are about 5 "sinkholes" in Operation Metro where you'll fall through into the map: 3 around A (right of M-COM, left of big rock, in front of courtyard near M-COM) and 2 around B (left of tree near playground, in front of rock just past B courtyard).
@TheRTRD I would say console. But remember that CoD and Bf are totally different games. I just got BfBc2 for my Xbox to see if I would like it, and I love this game. So I would recommend it.
@TheRTRD PC is more for the hardcore gamer... + the computer you need to run this game smoothly on max settings needs to be a beast.. and by what I mean by hardcore gamer is that all gamers use different mice , keyboards... things like that... Start out with Xbox or Ps3 before switching to PC...
Ok so far I've played 5 hours of the xbox beta. The final verdict is that it's really fun. The recoil is high and perfect for burst fire and I still dominate. Everything is good except for a few glitches and things that I'm very worried about. 1. Where is this hyped up destruction 3.0 dice was talking about? BC2 beta or BC2 in general has more destruction. 2. Where are the vehicles? 3. Why does the PC get the caspian border map and the console doesn't?
The destruction was toned down for the beta's initial release, but DICE has said it should be patched back in within a couple days. The vehicles are in the Caspian Border map, but that map is for internal EA testing right now. There are rumors that DICE will release the Caspian Border map for all beta players to enjoy within a week, but don't quote me on that.

Ive had it happen alot, only the SERVER owner can fix that by changing the ratings the server runs at.

I' m not sure what beta you're talking about but its not 'ready for sale' atm. People are ground glitching . i randomly get stuck sometimes, sometimes I can't sprint or zoom for a few minutes, it only disappears when I crouch or press start. Matchmaking is f'kced up, hit ditection is good imo , when i leave games sometimes my xbox won't leave the 'loading' screen and i have to dashboard. They have a lot of issues to fix. I hope they'll succeed.

@Vingalinga It's just the beta. Most beta's are extremely glitchy at first. I'm sure DICE and EA will fix up some patches and get it working again. They still got 20 days to fix it. But I would suggest waiting to play multiplayer when game comes out, because when BFBC2 did, server crashed bad.

Sometimes I keep shooting from point blank and get killed with one shot! What I am saying is, the hit detection needs some improvement, still. Also it seems to be lagging!

The game isn't ready. While it it very close I'm not liking the falling through the map glitch which occurs in many spots on ps3.

There was bullet drop/travel time in bfbc2, in beta bf3 there isnt

@m200mw I'm pretty sure the bullet drop is in the beta, but it's for the sniper rifles only. Bolt action rifles have more drop and you only get dropping at VERY far distances (I think its even further than BC2, not sure though)

@wgeorgiou There is bullet drop on every single gun, it's just not that noticeable with the other guns because the map is so small and you don't need to compensate for the drop that much.

@bassist13 On every gun really? Nice finally. I remember in BC2 a pistol could ping a sniper from a kilometre away lol. Have you tried it on Caspian yet? I know that you get MASSIVE bullet drop there (because of what you said: open map!)

My experience in the Battlefield beta has been disappointing. Too many snipers and people lying in bushes when you are outside. Too many camping snipers in the subway. Its virtually impossible to tell the teams apart when your running around and i find myself being shot at by my own team half the time.
Its just kind of a frustrating game when you get shot by people hiding in bushes who never move.
Resistance 3 is my fav shooter right now.

@alecjsona never had that issue, ever consider using a tac light so the snipers are blinded + you can see their lens glare when they look at you...so just suppress them

i just dowload the beta, and IT LOOKS like SHIT. IT SEEMS THE GAME RUNS NOT TO 30 fps, it looks like 10 fps. disgusting

DICE has said that a major patch to fix that issue and several others will be coming out within the next couple days to fix that. As of right now, though, there are about 5 "sinkholes" in Operation Metro where you'll fall through into the map: 3 around A (right of M-COM, left of big rock, in front of courtyard near M-COM) and 2 around B (left of tree near playground, in front of rock just past B courtyard).

@TheRTRD I would say console. But remember that CoD and Bf are totally different games. I just got BfBc2 for my Xbox to see if I would like it, and I love this game. So I would recommend it.

@TheRTRD PC is more for the hardcore gamer... + the computer you need to run this game smoothly on max settings needs to be a beast.. and by what I mean by hardcore gamer is that all gamers use different mice , keyboards... things like that... Start out with Xbox or Ps3 before switching to PC...

Ok so far I've played 5 hours of the xbox beta. The final verdict is that it's really fun. The recoil is high and perfect for burst fire and I still dominate. Everything is good except for a few glitches and things that I'm very worried about. 1. Where is this hyped up destruction 3.0 dice was talking about? BC2 beta or BC2 in general has more destruction. 2. Where are the vehicles? 3. Why does the PC get the caspian border map and the console doesn't?

The destruction was toned down for the beta's initial release, but DICE has said it should be patched back in within a couple days. The vehicles are in the Caspian Border map, but that map is for internal EA testing right now. There are rumors that DICE will release the Caspian Border map for all beta players to enjoy within a week, but don't quote me on that.
