This piece of footage was filmed for a special production about celebrating Musicals theatre. It was called 'Hey Mr Producer'. The reason why The Phantom (Colm Wilkinson) Has a beard is because later on that evening he portrayed the Role Of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, where the beard is needed for that character. This piece of footage was also also filmed at the 'lyceum theatre' in London. :)

@koollegomovies because this isn't from Pantages. This is for Hey Mr. Producer!, a tribute or like something for Mr. Cameron Mackintosh. I think that's how you spell his name. And that's Colm Wilkinison and he had facial hair because he was going to sing Les Miserables later, and that character had facial hair.

@koollegomovies that Phantom who is fat and has facial hair is Colm Wilkinson, a legend, and was actually the 1st person to ever play the Phantom (he portrayed him at Sydmonton before Phantom even opened at Her Majesty's and the Majestic). he has gone on to play the Phantom plenty of times originated him in Canada and originated the role of Jean Valjean for Les Miserables. I think what he has accomplished speaks for itself.

The Phantom in this clip is Colm Wilkinson. I have mixed feelings about him. His singing is very staccato-like sometimes.

I saw Trista Moldovan when she was in Portland. I think, when I saw her, she had only been in the role for about five days! She was great. Her acting needed work - completely understandable - but her voice was so pristine and beautiful! The Phantom was Richard Todd Adams and he was fantastic. I wish I could see John Cudia, but I definitely do NOT regret seeing Adams.

I just saw the Matinee show for the 22nd. John Cudia is a wonderful Phantom. I loved Carlotta Guidicelli, She does that UHHH croak in IL Muto I was like YAY!!!. I do intend to see it again. Later next month. So I cannot wait!!!. Trista Moldovan is a wonderful Christine.  just a little clue thats not John Cudia in this clip(at least I don't think so).

nice! i went there last night ( the 23rd) as a field trip. it was REALLY crowded but the show was AWESOME!!!!
