  • aw poor thing. do u know if it's alright now?

  • @fullmetalvoice read the description

  • Bless your heart.

  • He's squeezing his eyes in what I consider to be contentment.

  • @atrumira Thanks! Yeah, isn't that cute when he squints his eyes? You can almost hear him saying, "ahhhhhhh."

  • Humans have the ability to act like angels or demons.

For this duck, you are the embodiment of the former.

    (well done)

  • I'm normally a jackass to idiot videos/posters on you tube but this video was good to see. Very humane of you!! Happy to know people out there still have a heart and still care for things other than themselves all the time. Well done!

  • @KSharp320 Thanks for taking to time to give me kudos!

  • whats he eating?

  • @SyrahOffical10 I think it was corn meal, water, and chunks of bread broken into small pieces. Mainly needed to get water into him. If an animal is at risk of being dehydrated, you are never supposed to feed them or it will dehydrate them more, so I question the bread.

  • god will reward you 4 your kindness how does it feel when you lay down 2 go 2 sleep and know u saved a life?

  • u guys r nice :)

  • aww did you keep the little dude?

  • @samuelwaynefoleyjr Nope! He needed treatment so he went to the Wildlife Rehab Center as soon as possible.

  • @cisnet1997 I think it was corn meal, water, and chunks of bread broken into small pieces. Mainly needed to get water into him. If an animal is at risk of being dehydrated, you are never supposed to feed them or it will dehydrate them more, so I question the bread.

  • Ducks are the best! I hope he gets ok!

  • YOUR A LIFE SAVER! GOD BLESS U! LOL!

  • aw poor thing. thanks for saving it

  • One of my ducks died of Botulism today.

    I'm devastated.

    He was exactly like that

and I stayed with him until the end, making sure he had water.

I'm going to miss my little critter so so much.

  • I'm sorry to hear that. Could you have fed him and tried to treat him or talked to your vet? Is there a way to prevent it from happening again?

  • oh my god!!!! LMFAO its so weird but so sad tho a duck lol SOOOO CUTE

  • God bless you for your loving acts for that duck! It always tears at my heartstrings to see an animal suffer. That duck isn't the only one who's grateful for your kindness.

  • a lovely comment, thank you!

  • what happens is, that idiots buy these ducks for easter ducklings, and do not realize how much they poop and how much work they are.

Being the idiots that they are, they dont know that the pekin ducks (or any domestic duck) is not bred to fly or survive in the wild, cannot fly south, and is stranded wherever they are placed. Without a fountain in a pond in cold water, they will freeze.

No flying means easy prey. Domestic ducks are too big and heavy to fly, and do not know how to live wild.

  • I could not agree more. Idiot humans affect so many of the animals negatively. Well said.

  • Nice! Poor duck seemed too tired to eat! But you can tell she feels comfortable there. Thanks!

  • I wish more people were like you and would actually give up a few minutes of their time to help an animal.

  • I .....love you

  • Thanks a lot for rescuing this duck! =)

I'm not those animal-loving people. But there's something about ducks that makes me love them so much.

  • thank you so much!

    they are wonderful pets

    i have a pekin that i also

    rescued

  • it think its some kind of soup.

  • Aw, little duckie, I am glad it got saved.

  • Thank you so much for caring for that duck! Most people would just walk away if they saw a sick duck, but not you :) We need more people like you in the world :)

  • Cool! im so glad it recovered! is it a pekin? isnt that a domestic duck?

  • i saw some baby mallard ducks at this pond

but i did not saw their mother duck they was just far away from me so i could not get them

    it was to late..

  • aww so cute! i'm so glad there r people who care for birds!

  • i wanna rescue a duck but id bet my mm would disaprove because i already have 23 cats a dog 2 hermit crabs and im trying to hatch a triop but it isnt working it sucks

  • what are you feeding him

  • As it says above, a mixture of bread pieces, corn meal and water.

  • wow God bless you i tried to save a duck with a broken leg but it was too late...=(

  • Adorable. Thank God there are people like that. God bless xxx

  • that's cute

    what a good deed

I'm glad there are still people who care

  • thanks, me too, although i wish there were more...

  • There are! rock on, saver of critters! ;)

  • What were you feeding him? I can't quite pick it out.

  • If I remember right it was a mixture of corn meal, water, and bread pieces.

  • Is he fine now ??

  • Good question! The rehab center said it appeared to be botulism, and after weeks of rehab he went to a sanctuary. He did take a long time to get better, according to the sanctuary.
