This is so amazing... I'm 14 years old, and I became a Christian last april, I'm pretty sure. God works so many miracles in ones life, and it is so amazing! He heals me when I am sick. I've decided that I want to become Christian but I am afraid that maybe I am nit doing it right. j was taught that you do nit have to be baptised to become Christian you just have to believe in Christ and pray for forgiveness and so I prayed for forgiveness twice, I thanked God and Jesus twice and although I still have some doubts I belive in most of the Christian faith. am I doing everything right and is there anything else I can do? answers will be appreciated
when you sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you, He really does. You may still have some questions etc, but He forgives you and then helps you know Him better. But it's not just forgiveness, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, to become your Friend and Teacher, and direct you for the rest of your life. Also tell Him to reveal Himself to you and help you know Him. And then find a good church to attend, because God will use other people to show you Himself. Let me know if you need more help anytime

@gomileycyrusurule that is awsome that u decided to be a christian. i would ask your pastor first for most things you are confused about in your walk with God, but no you dont have to be baptized in order to be a christian. but it does say in the bible that we should be baptized, even jesus was baptised Acts 22:16: " And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." we are cleaning our bodies of our old life and walking a new one.
@gomileycyrusurule friend, please do not allow anyone to make you feel like you cannot be saved until you are baptized. Water means nothing outside of what is in your heart. If in your heart you decide to give your life to God and trust God, but don't have a way to be baptized, you do NOT need to. It is the heart that matters. I was saved at 9, and wasn't baptized until I was 18. Meanwhile, I was definitely saved and had a very close relationship w Jesus. I'm here to answer any questions.

Well like you said you don't have to be baptized but when you do it is a symbol of showing others that your not afraid to say yes i follow christ. The bible does not support a theory that God the Father was not with Christ during crucifixion. Inferring that from Jesus statement might be your opinion, but that is a very wrong idea. But I do respect atheism. Most atheists are very intelligent, and are right about many things, but my own personal experience and the evidence has led me to discover the truth of a God that they do not accept. Some truths are so out of the box that intelligence either discovers or dismisses them.

She is very intelligent but believe christians just have this hope so they don't have to face the fact that when you are dead, you are dead. But He did teach that Him and the Father are one, in perfect unity and harmony and the Father worked through Him as He did the Father's will. Every essence of the Father that we can perceive on earth is in Jesus. But there is the Father, and then there is Jesus, the Son... especially when we get to heaven

I don't think this is real due to the fact that the son said no one else could see it. And I don't think the women would tell anyone because of that reason. I wish it were real though.

OMG OMG This Is True...My dad passed away 3 years ago Aug. 1st 2007. two weeks after he passed away my ex wife was going to the bathroom in the middle of the nite. she heard my 9 yr. old son talking. she went to his room and its pitch blk, and sees him sitting up on his bed talking. she asked, who are you talking to, he replied Granpa, what did he say? he replied " all he said was Jesus doesnt look like his pictures" never ever heard that saying before or after that day till this letter.

This is so amazing... I'm 14 years old, and I became a Christian last april, I'm pretty sure. God works so many miracles in ones life, and it is so amazing! He heals me when I am sick. He helps me take another step, when I just want to give up. He makes me be a better person. If anyone needs to talk about somthing, I'm here. I may be young, but I'm pretty smart :)

I've decided that I want to become Christian but I am afraid that maybe I am nit doing it right. j was taught that you do nit have to be baptised to become Christian you just have to believe in Christ and pray for forgiveness and so I prayed for forgiveness twice, I thanked God and Jesus twice and although I still have some doubts I belive in most of the Christian faith. am I doing everything right and is there anything else I can do? answers will be appreciated

when you sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you, He really does. You may still have some questions etc, but He forgives you and then helps you know Him better. But it's not just forgiveness, ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, to become your Friend and Teacher, and direct you for the rest of your life. Also tell Him to reveal Himself to you and help you know Him. And then find a good church to attend, because God will use other people to show you Himself. Let me know if you need more help anytime

You don't need to be perfect but the longer you're on the path to holiness, the easier it gets. You're body is God's Holy Temple created in his likeness. @gomileycyrusurule that is awsome that u decided to be a christian. i would ask your pastor first for most things you are confused about in your walk with God, but no you dont have to be baptized in order to be a christian. but it does say in the bible that we should be baptized, even jesus was baptised Acts 22:16: " And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." we are cleaning our bodies of our old life and walking a new one.

@gomileycyrusurule friend, please do not allow anyone to make you feel like you cannot be saved until you are baptized. Water means nothing outside of what is in your heart. If in your heart you decide to give your life to God and trust God, but don't have a way to be baptized, you do NOT need to. It is the heart that matters. I was saved at 9, and wasn't baptized until I was 18. Meanwhile, I was definitely saved and had a very close relationship w Jesus. I'm here to answer any questions.

@TheFlutification Baptism into Christ is what saves. & baptism into Christ is not about water any more than it is about answering an alter call (coming froward when people are to give one's life to Christ). In as much as alter calls and baptism are important, effective ways to demonstrate repentance and surrendering, they are only a demonstration, not the salvation. The thief on the cross was not baptized but he's in heaven now. For those are unable to be baptized, there's still no condemnation

By getting baptised, your symbolizing that you ARE saved, and you accept Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior. But, getting baptised is your own testimony.

Baptism is an outward expression of the relationship you have with God. It symbolizes you dying to your old self and rising again with Christ (full immersion) It is not something that makes or breaks your salvation because if we call on the Lord we will be saved its more out of obedience, God wants us to be baptized. @gomileycyrusurule just keep praying. There is a saying we teach our kids that come to vbs and its what we call the abc of becoming a christian. 1. A- Amitt to God you are a sinner, 2.B- Believe that Jesus is God son and that he was sent to earth to save us, and 3.C- Confess your sins to the lord, repent turn away from ur sins. As far as the Baptised part goes I can't remember but I think it says it in the bible that he does want you to make it known that you are and thats just one way. congrats

The bible does not support a theory that God the Father was not with Christ during crucifixion. Inferring that from Jesus statement might be your opinion, but that is a very wrong idea. I mean he's a man, like everyone else. When it comes down to it, God Himself is my teacher, the one I can always rely on. The quote you provided is powerful in context. The context of Jesus being forsaken is that Jesus gave up or was "denied" the comfort and safety etc that we today can be blessed with as a result.

"Setting you on a right path" refers to that i believe strong enough that the lower Christ went down for us, the easier it gets for us.
Salvation was made easy, not cheap. It took God His "Best" - Christ, to forgive us.
So i do believe in this context that Christ was literally forsaken, Spirit Soul Body by God the Father.
So that in Spirit Soul Body, Abba is with us :)

But I do respect atheism. Most atheists are very intelligent, and are right about many things, but my own personal experience and the evidence has led me to discover the truth of a God that they do not accept. Some truths are so out of the box that intelligence either discovers or dismisses them.

She is very intelligent but believe christians just have this hope so they don't have to face the fact that when you are dead, you are dead. She finds it impossible to believe any man could hang on a cross for six hours, bleed out, be shoved into a tomb behind a rock and rise three days later. I'm very sad for her. She will go to Hell if she will not confess that Jesus is Lord.

I've been to heaven and I got to see my mum who had died of heart failure before I got married.
I visited her house and saw a picture above her mantel piece, it was the exact same one I had been given months earlier.
She had painted it up there. She loved painting. She had asked God to send me a copy of it and He did.
It was the first thing I saw when I entered heaven-a waterfall- then I saw Jesus meeting me on the bank.
All my life I have always loved waterfalls.

@midshadynite religion is a set of outward rules that in itself cannot take anyone to heaven. Also just believing in God is not enough because, like the bible says, even Satan believes in God. One needs to have a true, personal relationship with God and receive His atonement for our sins. Our sins give Satan a legal right to take us to hell. Jesus, Who is one with God and is God, came and died for our sins so that we can rightfully enter heaven. To get to heaven, one must receive what Jesus did

@okebaram If Christianity is true, and Jesus is the only way to Heaven, then all Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists, Hindus, and even all the Jews whom were gassed alive and burnt by the thousands in ovens are now all in hell being tortured and burning for all eternity not because they lived cruel lives, but simply due to believing in something different. Why support that even if it were to be true?

That is so sweet truly you and your son is blessed truly Inspirational Im sorry for your loss but im sure you have found Comfort In it, Im sure you will be reunited with your son in heaven. Isnt it that Jesus is God? They are one. The son is one in being with the father.. Others are confused about whom to pray to.. Jesus or to God?? But the truth is either of them either to the holy spirit because they are ONE.. The father the son and the holy spirit amen!

I do not believe that there is the Father, and then Jesus , and then HolySpirit....that is trinity believe. God the Yahwe or Jehovah of the old testament says:``Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God`` If you want to see God you will only see Jesus, if u want to fill him you fill the HolySpirit, if u want to know him he his the Father...thats why in Heaven there is only ONE throne.....no other!

Thanks for the testimony, i believe that everything with God is Possible...he will show everything and do everything to show to his children that he is God and live the Almighty. I only wonder how jesus can take that kid to show him God when he told Phillip..when Phillip asked him on earth to show them the father and he said ...That seeing him (Jesus) they have seen the father... John 14:8-10

@captain7667 Jesus' statement did not mean He was the Father, and He made that clear in the Gospels. He never implied otherwise and the disciples and the early church never believed otherwise. But He did teach that Him and the Father are one, in perfect unity and harmony and the Father worked through Him as He did the Father's will. Every essence of the Father that we can perceive on earth is in Jesus. But there is the Father, and then there is Jesus, the Son... especially when we get to heaven

That's not real. God is not a person or someone that have knees or pens or stuff. God is energy, and so are the souls that go to Heaven. And Heaven is not a place where you actually go, it's a stage that every soul passes and that's Heaven. It's not a place where you go to play, you write letter or you can see around. So that story is made by people.

@mafool14 no - those are the names used in the circulated story. If the story is based on a true experience, the names of the actual lady and her son may still differ from the names used to portray the story. The original authorship of the story remains unknown.

I don't think this is real due to the fact that the son said no one else could see it. And I don't think the women would tell anyone because of that reason. I wish it were real though.

@IgnitedYouthMinistry I would think that the son's statement infers that God allowed her to supernaturally be able to read a letter where others would see a blank page of paper, NOT that the story was private and meant to be heard by no one else.

OMG OMG This Is True...My dad passed away 3 years ago Aug. 1st 2007. two weeks after he passed away my ex wife was going to the bathroom in the middle of the nite. she heard my 9 yr. old son talking. she went to his room and its pitch blk, and sees him sitting up on his bed talking. she asked, who are you talking to, he replied Granpa, what did he say? he replied " all he said was Jesus doesnt look like his pictures" never ever heard that saying before or after that day till this letter.
