Thanks man I'm going to try to get my hands back on that game again by getting some expansions and master sets as well as character packs if I ever run into it
Realy wish this game hadnt been dumped.. would love to play it and get more.. but stuff is so expensive now and so hard to find.. and without it being made any more.. it'll just get more expensive, such a shame
WHen I cant find anyone to play it with I geab some posterboard and make a normale board game, but use the charicters so you can tie in your own tales
I just ordered my first set of Heroscape. In Finland Heroscape is hard to get - I don't know any store or webstore to sell them so I had to buy D&D master set from UK. I don't know will I like Heroscape but about 30 euros for D&D master set isn't that bad.
One thing bothers me... why they have armies but NO armysets for sell? I hate when I have to buy all expansions to get all new characters of ONE army when I could just buy one expansion.
I really like Heroscape for the variety of stuff they put out. I don't mind the new D&D set and re-releasing the D&Dminiatures in a Heroscape version, but I don't want them to stop making my Cyborg Gorillas or Legionaires of Rome or Ashigaru or Marros... Keep the weird characters coming WotC!
Tom - I think it's great that even amongst your thousands of played games, you went back and made a feature review on Heroscape - a truly special game that should be tried out by more people than get exposure to it. It couldn't have been easy, and I appreciate the effort on behalf of anyone that picks up and tries it out based on your reviews.
I remember one game where me and my ally was losing, but then my opponent stepped on a revival glyph and the only character to come back was my charos- who won the game haha
Thanks much for this insight, I've been curious to know what the fuzz is all about for a long time now and your videos were most informative and interesting to watch. Made me really curious about this game!
thanks for the review of Heroscape my dad, brother, and I got it a long time ago but we never really played it and now it makes me sad knowing just what i have been missing. so again thanks. :)
After watching this series I think I'd really like Marvel HS but it seems a bit limiting when there are no more coming out and I don't want to get into buying a whole bunch of the other stuff.
I wouldn't call it a money pit per say. You can spend $50-100 and as long as you have enough figures and terrain you can be happy. The points system keeps the game in check and balanced. Its not like a Trading card game where the company keeps pumping out newer and better cards to get you to keep buying and staying competitive. I had the original master set and 2 expansions and played happily for 4 years.
Im gonna go ahead and shop right now!Hope you win Tom.

@ezrs No more expansions are coming. They have stopped all production. The D&D sets will be the last.

you know i think heroscape is the game i've been looking for. You can have all out war or strategic scenarios all on an epic 3D map that you build.

I've made my own Haloscape, haha, pun...yeah, miniatures from Actionclix. It's surprisingly easy to do.

I like taking my entire collection and making the biggest battlefield I can make. ^_^
By the way, have you heard of National Heroscape Game? Southern California is having a tournament for it. ^_^
