I have 50 people in my extended family (including uncles, aunts, cousins, my cousins' spouses and my siblings' spouses, etc..

@JusticeTruth2010 I love Ron Pauls economic policies and everything, but his foreign policies are too radical and frankly too dangerous. It is clear that the middle east is a huge threat and must be stopped and Ron Paul needs to acknowledge that before he gets my vote.

@ediblexbox You're right in that The Constitution is a radical document. The Founders were radicals in their day. These wars are unconstituional without a declaration of war. Most of the issues we have in the Middle East are a direct result of our foreign policy and interfering with the governments of sovreign nations. Research how we got into Iran and meddled in 1953. Research how Israel promoted Hamas. Research the term "blowback".

We would be alot safer and wealthier. We are broke because of all these wars. Wars that are a result of our own failed economic and foreign policy.

@shadowbankers I definitely agree with that point, but some of the problems in the middle east are a matter of our country's safety and security and that we must take care of. Although some of what is going on there is unecessary; what our leaders need to do now is to decide what is necessary and what is not and act accordingly.

@ediblexbox Middle East was not a threat before 2000. Infact throughout the history of the United States, the Middle East was never a threat. All the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis, and they attacked us on 9/11 because we have bases in their holy land in Saudi Arabia. We need to stop interfering in the Middle East and need to stop giving aid to them, and we should improve our national security at home so no men with knives and boxcutters can board a plane ever again.

@JusticeTruth2010 Whether or not they were our enemies in the past is irrelevant. The fact is that they do not like us and their goal is to destroy our way of life; they have made that painfully clear and it would be stupid of us to ignore it. Furthermore, many of them believe that they can incitethe "second coming" of their god by causing chaos throughout the world and they will do this by targeting the US. This goes beyond foreign policy and when religion is involved, its not easily solved.
