  • why is the chime bell beeping?

  • @8747800 its beeping because of low air brake pressure

  • @dodgeV10rocks thanks! does it always lose air pressure when the truck's off?

  • @8747800 I think it depends on how long the truck is off. or He drained the air tanks so there's clean air going into the tanks.

  • looks and sounds like a cummins to me! if its not a cummins then its the first black cat i have ever saw. look at the oil pan at 0.58 its black! and why at 3.27 does it look like your a child?? is this your daddy's truck??lol btw this truck needs a compressor! way to long of build-up time! do your pre-trip!

  • @ck15001994 It's a 3406E, the pan is black from all the grease and crap. If you raised the hood it's completely yellow, i promise Lol

  • why is it idling with over 30 pounds of boost

  • its a cat you can tell from the sound i think the t 800 can come with a cummins tho

  • vegais u a fool dat aint no cummins thats a cat listn to the chopping in the idle

  • Nice T800,I love the paint job.

  • DD60

  • @Andewsfarm This is a 3406E...

  • Nice rig

  • man the interior look like the one we had inte sixties in the Scania..Is that a Range/Split gearbox?

  • nice looking truck

  • WHERE YOU DRIVING? lol

  • you fools, it';s a 444 cummins with a 13 speed in it, trust me.

  • What?

  • your a dumbass thats not a cummins but hotrodx nice truck d00d

  • how do you know? he's the one that drives it all day long.. nice vid

  • No it sounds like a CATERPILLAR 3406E.

Cat has its own distinctive idle.

  • 60 series and 3406E/C15 has a similar idle.

  • @vegais0011 My hell, he's the one in the truck. He probably knows better than you - he was actually there.

  • It hasn't the straight pipes in this video right?

  • Correct, no straight pipes.

  • thats one helluva truck right there

  • sounds like my dads peterbilt 365 flatbed with what i think is a n14 cummins and a 10speed i need to get a video of it up

  • Nice looking truck. I run a 2001 T800 myself. Only bummer is mine is a 18 speed atuomatic.

  • Ouch thats gotta hurt. I could careless for the autoshifts personally. I want to decide when to shift, not the computer deciding when it thinks i need to shift. you know what i mean?

  • Yes I do know what you mean...my truck is always shifting when I dont want it to...skips gears when I dont want it to...it's a pain in the ass!!

  • 10 speeds are great, I have driven 13 speeds but just havn't learned them yet. At 55 turning 1,250 use 9th gear lugging the engine seems to kill mileage, that or drive faster. 18 speed is over kill, unless your doing heavy haul. I've driven two 13 speeds, the last one I drove had a S60 Detroit, 13 spd and 3.42 rear end, had to split all the gears shifting it like a 9 was to rough to much of a gap between the gears. I like the C-15, isnt that the same as the 3406 or different? Single turbo C-15!

  • Yeah, well you have to remember, these eletronic motors are pretty much ment to turn low rpms, compared to a big cam cummins, there ment to run around 1550 rpms. thats where they run good. Im just 15, and i pretty much got a 13 speed well figured out. And yes, the C15 is pretty much a 3406E, same liter i think, witch is the 15.2 (i think?) The 3406 u were able to get two engine sizes, the 14 liter, and then the 15 liter.

  • I know how they work, but trying to learn new ratios/speeds, I like the simpleness of the 10 speed, I guess its something that will just take getting used too I guess. The 3406 sounds almost similar to a pre-02 Detroit at idle.

  • seems that all the newer eletronic motors all sound the same these days.

  • i think there too little

    a 18 speed is easy

a 13 is complicated to me

  • dude u need a 18 speed!

  • a 13 speed would be better, less moving parts. a 13 speed would be perfect, as you are only splitting the top gears. but when running empty, the only ones he splits are the last top 2, so basicly drviving it like a 10 speed, only its different and better when climbing hills, as of he can split the gears instead of downshifting each gear.

  • true i jsut think 10 speeds are too little

  • yeah, i can find them on pickups with 6v53's, not in kenworths, u know what i mean? lol

  • you brought that truck to me i could take that speed limter off

  • Im ready 2 c it

  • Ok. Ill upload either sometime today or tomorrow.

  • Lets see what it can do on the highway

  • I have a video sitting my hard drive of a driving clip. But its just driving the speed limit. We tested to see what the top speed would be. Well, it has a speed limiter i think. But the fastest that i ever saw my dad get up too was like around 72 mph. it might got faster then that. If it had no speed limiter on it, and the rpms were turned back to 2100 rpms, and with 3:55s, it might be able to pull around 95-100mph.
