I don't think his upbeat is very clear – I mean, where exactly does the upward stroke start? Really, one beat should be conducted, highlighting the ictus bounce at the correct tempo, prior to the first beat, starting from a preparation point parallel to the point of the downbeat.
gli Americani pensano di poter fare tutto e anche di poterlo insegnare agli altri... e si dimenticano di avere una storia così breve e di aver esportato solo Coca Cola e la guerra.....
Well, I have a Masters Degree in Conducting and have been conducting orchestras, bands and choirs for over 40 years and I can tell you this is a very poor series for teaching conducting! His styles is very stilted. It has no feeling of "organic flow" -- in short it is stiff. And there are as many ways of handling a cutoff as there are conductors who conduct! The same goes for every thing else he demonstrates.
Hey guys? This is actually a video from expertvillage and the kid has a bachelor degree and has been conducting bands and orchestras for five years. Maybe you guys need to live in 2010 and get a kick-ass waves like his.
this guy is ggod as trafic officer.. I hope anybody support you.; because when you ll be 30 will be too late for change a job.. I suggest you now to study something different.. maybe Law.
It's not the size of the beat itself that conveys forte or piano, it's the speed of hand moving through the air and the intensity of gesture. You just showed basically two identical gestures - the orchestra will respond to them with a generic mezzo-forte. When conducting forte, the amplitude is only a part of the equation.
Improper demonstrations, insufficient explanations, poor technique--These videos should ABSOLUTELY NOT be used for educational purposes, except as an example of what NOT to do.
