  • i love this video

  • good video. Khan does indeed RULE!

  • Great video.. A+++

  • This vid was the inspiration for my TNG version! Love it!

  • (and I mean that in the most endearing way; I love trekkies)

  • Haha this made me laugh.

  • cool idea for a tune. I am an absolute Trekie!!!

  • All I ever wanted to be on is a star ship.

  • I've always wanted to see someone use this song wth clips of "Lord" John Whorfin from Buckaroo Banzai.

  • flipping awesome.

  • Excellent song. RIP Mr. Montalban. Greatness never dies. 5/5

  • Great song

  • juntar tears for fears com jornada nas estrelas é o máximo do bom gosto e da inteligencia.

  • dude this is badass watching star trek with this song on

  • very nice video... by the way, I like Khan! I always did. he's not a bad guy, not a villain. I think we NEED Khan and his man to rescue Earth from its current chaotic situation. Khan could erase the United States and make the world safe. Imagine: a world without war.

  • mass enough people and you could overthrow the government.

  • That could be any government.

It'd be best if they had brains though. Don't want them to be stupid and have a dumb government in a post-war era

  • A world without the US would not be a world without war. Far from it dude. There would actualyl be a whole lot more.

  • maybe, but at least smaller wars, because unfortunately USA has the biggest weapons

  • Iran vs. Iraq ocst at the very least hundreds of thousands of lives. Saddam killed tens of thousnads of his own people.

North Korea has a Nuclear program, so do India and Pakistan. So does China. The biggest weaposn are more common than one might think.

Imagine how much worse it would be without the US as counterweight to all of that. Especially with a vacuum everyone was trying to fill.

  • Problem with Khan and the Augments though, was that they were too powerful and egotistical. They were corrupt and wanted power, they were dictators themselves.

  • darky, that's what the Federation says! but Khan tells a different story (at the captain's dinner). he says they wanted to help the world and turn the chaos into order.

  • Recent novels say the chaos was caused by the Augments though to create a power vaccuum for them to take over. Every dictator says they want to help the world, but good and evil are POV and are all subject to the eye of the beholder.

What I can't recall, however, was, was WW3 before or after the Eugenics War?

  • hi darky, I haven't read any Star Trek novels. I just know Star Trek from television and the movies. so maybe you're right, I don't know.

regarding the World War 3, I think there are some contradictions in the Star Trek canon, because the 90's, then "future" (from the 60's POV), are now "past" and we all know WW3 didn't happen in our "timeline". I checked some discussions on Internet forums and the quasi-offical "memory-alpha" database, but it remains unclear to me. I'm a fan but...

  • Don't mind me just butting in on your conversation, but to the best of my knowledge the Eugenics War(s?) was well before WWIII. In First Contact, it's established that 2060 odd is just post WWIII, whereas the Eugenics War was in the 90s... wasn't it?

  • yes Beef354, you're right concerning the Star Trek canon, I guess. But I was talking about our "real" world. the more we are advancing ourselves into the future, the more Star Trek becomes a "parallel universe".

  • Bah, things like that happen with a Science Fiction. lol, maybe we're just running behind, or Star Trek got their dates wrong and everything's 100 years later. Roll on the Eugenics War of the 2090's hahaha

  • Who knows? The "Star Trek" Future might come sooner than you think! I hear one particle accelerator might just be able to help us invent tractor beams, and this particle accelerator has already been built!

  • Been a long time since I saw this, but I never read the novels either, just online things to get a better picture for the reasons you mentioned.

But yeah, despite their want 'to bring order', they were dictators. Some of the worst tyrants in history saw themselves as saviors. Corruption does that to you.

  • classic

  • It's, everyone wants to rule the Universe not the world.

  • dude why cant supervillains in anything ever fucking DIE!!! am i right or what??

  • Space Seed was my favorite Classic Trek episode. Good job.

  • Nice video. Khan is my favorite "bad" guy in Star Trek. Though I would have loved to see some footage of Khan on Ceti Alpha 5, I still loved the video.

  • Kirk, my old friend...you're still alive?!

  • Nice to see you include "both" treks and followed the whole Khan story through, good clips. Excellent!
