Never had a lot of time for Dave in the 80's - he never seemed comfortable with the whole New Romantics thing ... looking back I add 'thank the heavens' ... after Soft Cell Dave hung out with Genises P. Orridge giving the 'Anti Gay We Hate Soft Cell' mob much oxygen to fan their rabid dysfunctional view of the world! Wish Dave had spoken out earlier; ironically SC were signed to 'Some Bizarre', if that was the labels attitude to 'gay' artists then hang your head in shame Stevo Pearce.

I am sorry but as a kid i always had a crush on dave ball. I like Marc is is a great entertainer but fpor me Dave was always the hot one.

im glad someone has put something with Dave Ball on cos it gives me a chance to say what a fantastic amazin bloke/musician/innovator/songs­mith he is/was.

Marc got all the glory or most of it and yeah he deserves credit but it was DAVE who more or less invented the whole bloody genre of putting taped music/synth stuff etc and so many bands/people owe him so much!

Why aren't more straight men like Dave Ball? So nice to see a hetro man completely centered in his sexuality. If more were then befriending a gay man wouldn't matter. Sadly, I still have to walk some straights through it to make them feel secure in where they stand with others.
