  • quit shouting!

  • wow how old is your le creuset?? i have one and its suppose to brown/colour with age...but it just hasnt gotten to urs yet...

  • Well at least he has a coccotte to cook it in.

  • It looks yummy to me! It's funny, except for the bacon and drying the meat, I've been making Julia's recipe for years without knowing it! LOL

  • The presentation is a little rough around the edges but you kinda represent how us normal folks cook in our kitchens. I for one found it refreshing. Thanks for your efforts.

  • Very stripped down version of this recipe. I hate to sound like a crybaby, but you really need to remove "Julia Child" from the title of this video, it's an insult to her. Don't get me wrong, I would gladly eat what you made. It looks good and I bet it's tasty, but the fact is that what you made here is only a small step above fast food. It should not be connected to Julia Child.

  • @ditttch I second that. Julia is NOT about one pot cooking or quick and easy...she is about taste!

  • I think you are drunk. who are to moldify, Julias Child redipe, I think you have fevar.

  • what does hell is this?

  • you are wrong, please try to learn a litle bit more, you did it tereble, I wouldno eat that. You talk a lot things that you you have no lue

  • you are wrong, please try to learn a litle bit more, you did it tereble, I wouldno eat that

  • To anyone watching this and wants to make beef bourgignon. Do NOT follow this guys recipe. This is not the way to do it. He completely insults this dish with everything he does.

  • Wer das nicht richtig aussprechen kann, sollte die Rezepte von JC nicht kochen. Außerdem ist das Rezept verfälscht wiedergegeben - total. Sieht man ja auch am gepanschten Ergebnis. tststssss

  • what a twat brrrrrrrron idiot

  • beef......BOURGNORNGORNG!!

  • c'est nul...il est con ce mec.....

  • its (Burg) (en) (yon)

  • Panchetta IS THE RIGHT WORD, AND IT'S BOUR -GIN- ION ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE BURGER-ONION

  • i am sorry to tell you but this is not the recipe ,it is something else.....

  • for your reference... bore-gin-yone

  • I used this recipe last spring and it came out well, will be using it again tomorrow. who cares if he knows how to pronounce it, his intentions are good.

  • I used this recipe last spring and it came out pretty good, will be using it again tomorrow. who cares if he knows how to pronounce it, his intentions are good.

  • i make the same thing but with Guinness beer , the acidity level is much lower with a stout beer, I am having a hard time with a side dish to pair this with though

  • @haydenman2 Guinness isnt beer man, its stout

  • A lot of stuff that you did goes against french cooking.

  • stop it you bum

  • Comment removed

  • If you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't be making it.

  • Haha, he can't pronounce Bourguignon.

  • @GoldenBlue437 I know I know- just have not gotten around to getting that right in my videos- thanks for checking it out though-

  • @kahunasfoodandwine It's casually /boor-geen-yaw'/ or if you'd rather not mess with it, just beef burgundy. It's still a great vid-I like that it's very down to earth-I've made this dish a few times, and agree with your abbreviations (and I always put in extra tomato paste too.)

  • @GoldenBlue437 yeah i was wondering how he was saying, i thought he was just saying it really fast!!

  • @GoldenBlue437 Why do you call it Julia Child's recipe if you don't come close to following hers? If you are going to just stick your head in the fridge and find whatever you have left that's too old to figure out what it is, toss it. This is the trailer trash version for sure. Hey, don't be lazy and stir on the oven rack. Put it on the counter and do a proper job.

  • i think it looks yummy. i am making this later. i hope it comes out well.

  • thats nasty looking

  • bruschetta??? are you kidding me?

  • @fildf did I mention bruschetta in this video? I will have to go back and check

  • @fildf finally watched again to find the reference - bruschetta is grilled bread rubbed with garlic and a drizzle of olive oil - or you just didn't like the pairing? anyway thanks for checking out the video .

  • i'm sorry, but that is a mess ,surely you did not acompleshid the recipe

  • @fildf It actually came out very good and I was pretty happy with the results. There are definately a few tweaks that I have made since filming this one- Thanks for checking out the video

  • you're a douche

  • @YeEr0sKiNg that would be KaD to be accurate! LOL

  • BEEF BRRRRRRON!

  • @heatedfrost LOL - thanks for checking out the videos!

  • @heatedfrost LOL

  • Thats just a seriously delicious looking heart attack waiting to happen. Nom Nom Nom

  • @realeyz it was really good and thankfully only make it once in a while- thanks for checking the video out

  • Thank you. You made a really clear, easy-to-follow video. Now its my turn!

  • @gtrueblood1 Thank you for checking out the video and glad it was easy to follow- Let me know how yours comes out- Thanks again

    Patrick

  • Great video with great time-saving tips! I must say though, from one cook to another, the correct pronunciation of a dish is as important as the correct ingredients. This is a French dish and deserves to be pronounced correctly! Bourguignon - phonetic pronunciation: boor-gee-nyawn. Thank you for the post!

  • @geigerjam no doubt pronunciation is very important-and truly does deserve respect- a big part of my blog is about me being a little goofy to say the least- and sometimes the pronunciations get caught up in that-LOL- You should see what I do to the wine names! I know a lot gets lost with my you tube videos as they are stand alone while on my site there is often a blog post to go with it.

  • @kahunasfoodandwine Thanks for the phonetic spell out as honestly I probably have never said it correctly even when trying to. Thanks for taking the time to watch - I do appreciate it-

  • I am going to try your recipe...

    :)

  • Thanks- I hope you like it!

  • cute!!! :)

  • @withsong Thanks so much for watching

  • When this video started , I thought," F*%k.

A hijack of Julia's name to post a stupid video.

    I was wrong..Nicely prepared.

Some good tips, especially on cooking the coated beef before adding to the stock.

I would have added some of the onion water to the stew and added the pearl onions and some mushrooms an hour before serving,, My 2 cents,,

    Well done,, Excellant

    Thanks for posting

  • @Seeether52 I like your ideas- apologize but I really thought i responded here already and now I do not see my comment- But thank you for taking the time to watch it is nice to read comments and best of all to get some advice also like you offered-I will try them next time I make this
