Superb video, how cute they are. Your pictures show that the survival of the Iberian lynx depends on the continued existence of rabbits and that without captive breeding there seems to be no future for this beautiful animals.
I usually don't post this kind of music (most soundtracks bore me to death, even classical ones). But I thought "Now We Are Free" would be the perfect in this case, considering the recent history of the Iberian Lynx...
Oooohhh... don't cry, my friend! There's still hope! :) Since 2005, 24 cubs were born in captivity, and 28 were captured in the wild (because they had few chances of survival).
That means there are 52 new Lynx to ensure the survival of the species (and most of the others, the grown up ones, are still alive) :)
Thanks,my friend..i don't have internet at home..I hope to recover the service in the following days...Thanks for the wonderful video...the true sense of freedom!
Sometimes his music reminds me of Vangelis (lots of synthesizer, rigid time line with progressive instrument/voice entrance, incorporating ethnic/tribal choruses into his compositions...)
But Zimmer is quite powerful at creating emotions for specific sections of the movies he scores, while Vangelis is better at creating overall atmospheres. But I love them both, sometimes I only feel sorry that the movies they score aren't worthy of their value!
I have to disagree with which is better at creating overall atmospheres, because Zimmer did a great job at creating overall atmosphere with the Pirates of the Caribbean series.
Unfortunately they may not be here for much longer: studies conducted in March 2005 have estimated the number of surviving Iberian lynx to be as few as 100 individuals :((
They once covered most of the Iberian Peninsula, as shown by the green areas in the map at 0:10 (Portugal and Spain), but now the only breeding populations are living in the Doñana National Park in Spain and in the Sierra de Andújar, Jaén (also in Spain).
Adorable lynxs!!!
I do like animals very much!...
