@FTWMoonwalker They cancelled that ages ago... It was going to be completed in late 2012, but the government denied them to build a theme park because the Australian tax payer would pay too much (stupid) as if they speak for us. But it could be considered as an option for future devopment. I just think any big theme park that's proposed for Melbourne will never be built.
The video doesn't do this ride justice.Okay so while it's not as thrilling as other coasters, it's still worth the 10 minute que. Yeah there's oil stains on the track however it isn't rusty or rickety. The second drop is quite exhilarating and you take some solid G's on the turns. Went on it 3 times.
i wish i rode this when i went to luna park i but my favourite ride there is coney island top drop i went like "when will we reach the top" my friend says "LOOK THERE IS ST KILDA BEACH" and i went like " are we there yet" my friend says i think were almost thAAAA oh my gosh" yup we reached the top"
@gotenks100000 go on it and see if it's good or not, i went to luna park and went on it and it was much more faster and better because it's just the video that makes the ride look 'bad'. i love this ride, you might too, just try it :)
Thumbs up if Melbourne needs a better theme park than luna park, wish Melbourne government was smart enough to realize that theme parks can bring in alot of money and build an awesome one -_-
@Megapie678 they are :) it's going to be next to the open range zoo, it's called african safari world, heaps of high tech rides are planned. they say it should be like animal kingdom but better.
I love balcony catwalks in the left side of a lift hill. I mean they make this ride sound more classic than its age. What if this thing runs in a green plant, scrapping into leaves coming up? That's more garden style. =)
that's just a generic galaxy coaster. a park out n Albuquerque has one that is in really good condition. doesn't rattle or shake and is a slightly higher than this one.
This is the first coaster I ever went on! I believe it used to be at the now defunct Footrot Flats/Leisure Land in Auckland, NZ, and went by the name 'Cannonball Run'. Fun little ride.
they call that high speed??? what did it reach like 24mph??? I think the runaway mine train @ Six Flags Great Adventure goes faster....u did get good angles and shots though...
@charisseluvsu2 Any ride that can deliver enough forces to make someone sick HAS to be classified as "high speed"... I guess. Different parks have different rules though, but it's usually the same.
@MurphTheEngineer10 yee its realy old, apparantly that rides stopped working a few times while people have been on it. i know a friend who went on it and one ride later it stopped at the very top
This is the same ride that was at the state fair in Maryland. It has dangerously close supports to the track, and is held together with push-pins! Noting like the adrenaline rush of speeding through a huge mountain of loose-fit metal and iron all held together by heavy duty paper-clips!
@nickcolts2 don't bother making a comeback if it's stupid, and don't bother commenting if you are a 1st grader trying to spell. I'm done commenting on this video. It will stop annoying ThemeParkReviewTPR.
P.S. Go back to watching Twilight, I won't judge you.
Jeez, im so sick and tired of all these "First!" comments. Just stop please! and stop arguing! just watch the video of the rollercoaster, which, by the way, doesnt sound that smooth, but otherwise its good!
@TheNikkaNick yes unfortunately nation wide we do not have much.
the only chance at goodness is gold coast in queensland, and even then theres only about 3 or 4 rides that really can compare to USA's standard of rides. I would not make any effort to ride any rides outside of gold coast as its just not worth it. However with that being said, we have awesome waterparks.
i am quite proud of wet n wild gold coast, its definetly one of the better waterparks in the world.
