How is this guts galore? I've seen every single gut in an Asian elephant fall out of it's body. That was guts galore. (it was an educational program, not just some random people cutting up a dead elephant)
Yeah well think about how their species is thriving because of supply and demand and realize that their would be less cattle in a natural setting where they would get eaten by natural predators. There is nothing sad about it. What's actually disgusting is that you'd rather believe natural eating habits are some sort of awful occurrence, because you watched one too many Disney movies.
@jos7886 Do you even know how many cattle are slaughtered daily worldwide ? Obviously not if you are comparing it as a better life to their natural habitat...it doesn't even come close mate. Natural eating habits as you choose to call it, is not "awful" - what is awful is how many animals not just including cattle are treated horribly in very cruel conditions before being killed, no respect whatsoever for the life they give to us. They are living organisms just like us, deserving equal respect.
@Galaxy360 Human etiquette and "respect" does not apply the same way between animals and the food chain. They are food. To utilize the life you kill for life is to respect it. HUMMFREAK has a very nice list of ways a cow's life is not lost in vain. If it were for people like you we would of been drawing in caves and flinging shit at each other for most of our existence and undoubtedly would have died off a long time ago.
@jos7886 You still miss the point. To not have borderline respect for animals is not acceptable, the majority of human beings see livestock as an object of our disposal. I am not saying we shouldn't eat meat, what we shouldn't be doing is abusing these animals in the factory farms they are increasingly processed in.
"To utilize the life you kill for life is to respect it." - Not when it depends on HOW you treat and kill the animals.
@jos7886 Times have changed so dramatically since we first hunted animals that there is no point in comparing it. Rather than respectfully earning our food, we have mass production to spoon feed us. As human beings our way of life has become pathetic and increasingly becomes even more so.
I don't expect you to understand, not many people do, but to acknowledge the cruelty forced upon livestock in most cases is enough to tell me you aren't a halfwit.
@Galaxy360 You came in here with a very high opinion of yourself. First because the people who commented before you "sicken you". The video had nothing to do with the mistreatment of cattle neither did the comments. Just seems like you wanted to sound like a pseudo activist just so you could push your stupid idealistic way of how cattle should be treated. I hate to repeat myself but there would be little to no progress within humanity if it was up to pretentious soft dicks like you.
@jos7886 What a joke. I commented saying that you people sicken me because of how you presented yourselves to raw meat straight from the abattoir. You seem to completely avoid the valid points i make about animal cruelty in general, telling me that you either have a flawed opinion on the matter or don't wish to admit to the "horrors" of the reality behind it. It's funny because it is people like YOU who are responsible for the extinction of species.
@jos7886 The general thought of people like yourself i gather is that animals are here for our taking, they solely exist in order to feed us. Where did you learn that, in some American Christian school ?
Please...i don't wish to offend but i have little patience for people who want to have a debate yet ignore points i state like i never initially stated them. This video doesn't specifically point out animal cruelty, but that isn't a reason to ignore what i am talking about regardless.
@Galaxy360 I've already gone through all that. I'm not going to continue to repeat myself. Don't give me that Christian School bullshit either your the one with the unrealistic idealism here. You want to flip it on me and say I've ignored your points? It can't be your memory's fault because the comments are below. You have to have some sort of mental defect because you can't process 'what is' and 'what I think should be' correctly.
@jos7886 How is the idealism of animals (specifically livestock) being treated fairly before slaughter unrealistic ? Sure it may seem so with how things are run now, but is that supposed to make it right or something, absolutely not. You are ignoring the points i am making because each of your comments are not correctly addressing what i have said, instead you are just telling me how you personally feel about my view and i can tell you now that your logic is flawed. You just don't get it.
Why exactly do we need to 'earn' our food by hunting and killing the animals we want to eat?
Why not make the slaughter of these animals into less stress and mess, and more waste, and more about how we can actually use all parts of each animal that is killed for purposes that serve us all?
You seem to forget that we live on a planet where the "fittest" survive the longest, and pass on the most genes, and prosper....Humankind is the fittest out of all the animals.
@i8246i Oh they will...If they can deal with the holocaust, they can deal with this. "Slaughter" is in our human blood man, weather it's animals, bugs, or ourselves. In the end we're all murders of something.
@Galaxy360 WTF are you talking about you soft hypocrite? That's food, when we go to the meat section at the grocery market are we supposed to pretend that were not anxious to sink our teeth into that?
@jos7886 No, you are meant to be well aware of how unfortunate life is for many animals, how countless die to feed us. Think of how sad it is for them before you think of your apatite, a little respect and acknowledgment for the life they give is all. To eat meat and not be aware is disgustingly ignorant.
