  • Thanks for posting. Do you know who the trumpeter is ?

  • Thanks for all your work Harry, Paul

  • An interesting visual spectacle with clever musicianship. Jack Payne's French is heavily British-accented rather than 'excellent'. Full marks for at least trying, though.

  • what a corker. thanks.

  • Jack Payne would have known French from his RFC days. Is the solo saxophonist E O Pogson?

  • It's indeed probably "Poggy" Pogson on baritone sax here.

  • Very Exceptional!

Thank you so much for sharing !!

  • The best reel from the Britishpathé archives.

  • My personal 16mm film archive actually.

  • @harryoakley

    You're a lucky man

  • @harryoakley Really good coming from a personal source. Thanks for uploading

  • Great video, my grandfather is the young violinist on the right, its the only footage i've seen of him as he died in 1956. I have been searching for some footage from the Jack Payne films "say it with music" and "sunshine ahead " that he would of appeared in but have had no luck.

  • What was your grandfather's name?

  • My grandfathers name is jim Dunlop, born in Glasgow.
