  • What's the name of the song? BTW nice work! =)

  • Quad Xeon is the best processor for this program...

  • i totally agree with the other guys...the water isn't that good, use bq it and it would be smooth. But great job!

  • Boost water quality and it would be perfect

  • use anti-aliasing.. :) great job btw

  • do you honestly think it would do any difference at all at this resolution and quality? XD

  • That´s beautifull, what kind of computer did u use and how long did it take to render ? in what resolution ?

  • that was so beautiful.

  • nice

  • hey... i have a 2.66 ghz cpu with 3 gigs ram. how long would a 2 minute movie make if it includes a lot of animation and set to highest quality??? i planning on getting this. i just don't want to wait a week for it to render out.

  • It can still take some time it all depends on whats in the scene, you can cange certain things to speed up rendering but can lose quality. I do recomend this.

  • ya, it depends on what you have, for instance, volumetric clouds take forever, im currently rendering a scene with allot of clouds on fairly high quality and when its all said and done it will take 90 hours (on my quad core 8 gig ram). But, for stuff like plain mountains on a clear blue sky you can get fairly fast results. I have 2 vids up where i used vue, the newer one took about 10 hours to render, i usually just set it up and render while i sleep.

  • If you put some movement to the water like grab the water line for some seconds looks like a really oceanic effect. You can use some terrain to create a wave ocean effect.

  • I love that term. GODRAYS!

  • i'm only running 1.86 single intel centrino. will that be enough?

  • maybe just expect a really slow work flow.

  • cool stuff, i'm playing with vue 5 and the hardest part is doing explosions and smoke, unsure how. I have a vid up of something i did in vue 5 but i want to make a long animation video as it takes a while to render.

  • nicely done

  • Vue is incredible with over 30million polys on the screen you can render in less than an hour with a single dual core pc so the mac comment was uneducated. If you add water into a scene yes it will jump up any rendertime on any software on any machine. The calculations of the water with the refraction and reflection settings can make a small render enormous.

  • so is this volumetric lighting? or a gel?

  • excellent job!

  • excellent job? this is a preset lol

  • Fantastic. How long did that take to render, and at what settings?

  • @upinfection

No Vue & is a payware program but there is a demo version downloadable.

Form the music read on comments below

  • Thanks. That was really beautiful. In the demo version, is there limitations? Like creating water, ect?

  • I don't think so. I believe is an evaluation copy so u can use it for a limited period

  • The Vue 6 Infinite/xStream Personal Learning Edition does not expire or hasn't any limitations. It has a watermark on your renders. And you can download it for free from their website.

  • I can get rid of the water marks with virtual dub. I think i might do that.

  • Can you let me know if it worked for you getting rid of watermarks with vdub? Thanks!

  • This is ther main problem!

I'm not so familiar with the vodeo quality settings does anybody help me?

    tnx

  • Hello, nice work. Made me feel good in side and things. What was the song? And is Vue 6 free?

  • If u want to reduce flickering change ur anti-aliasing strategy to sharp:)

  • Why is it so grainy looking. How come all the animations from the demo look amazing and so far I have yet to see anyone create a good looking video from their own work. Is it something to do with how you render the vid? Can you please make a better quality vid for this and upload it so that we can see the quality?

  • ok give him a render farm with 20 computers

vue sucks in rendertime if you have not a mac

  • That is one stupid comment!

  • i dont like the water

  • flicker flicker flicker flicker flicker.........

  • i think its a nice little clip- the music is nice.

you dont have to be all flashy with vue...its best if you if you use it for its sutleties

can you use godrays in vue5?

  • Of course is a loop!

this is my second job with vue and is not intended to be perfect as i am a self-taught the loop was made for two reasons: 1 - to shorten the rendering time 2 -to match exactly the lenght of the music.

If you have any links or advice to improve mi Vue experience i will be very happy.

    tnx

  • Not Very Hard do use

  • tnx to all for yor comments

@bg416 the music on the background is made from an italian composer Ludovico Einaudi and it was made for an Italian Commercial spot called "eni 30%"

    ciao

  • Very nice, great job.

    :D

  • Absolutely Beautiful! What is the name of the music going with it?

  • how hard is vue to use

  • Vue is Very Simple to use, however this video, or any found on youtube, atleast as I have seen do not do it justice. This animation is a loop that comes with Vue, and he rendered it and made it repeat :) still nice music

  • I can never get the goddamn godrays to go over my landscape where I want them to go LOL Nice job :-)

  • spettacolare, Andrea.sembra di esserci. filtaf023
