hey... i have a 2.66 ghz cpu with 3 gigs ram. how long would a 2 minute movie make if it includes a lot of animation and set to highest quality??? i planning on getting this. i just don't want to wait a week for it to render out.
It can still take some time it all depends on whats in the scene, you can cange certain things to speed up rendering but can lose quality. I do recomend this.
ya, it depends on what you have, for instance, volumetric clouds take forever, im currently rendering a scene with allot of clouds on fairly high quality and when its all said and done it will take 90 hours (on my quad core 8 gig ram). But, for stuff like plain mountains on a clear blue sky you can get fairly fast results. I have 2 vids up where i used vue, the newer one took about 10 hours to render, i usually just set it up and render while i sleep.
If you put some movement to the water like grab the water line for some seconds looks like a really oceanic effect. You can use some terrain to create a wave ocean effect.
cool stuff, i'm playing with vue 5 and the hardest part is doing explosions and smoke, unsure how. I have a vid up of something i did in vue 5 but i want to make a long animation video as it takes a while to render.
Vue is incredible with over 30million polys on the screen you can render in less than an hour with a single dual core pc so the mac comment was uneducated. If you add water into a scene yes it will jump up any rendertime on any software on any machine. The calculations of the water with the refraction and reflection settings can make a small render enormous.
The Vue 6 Infinite/xStream Personal Learning Edition does not expire or hasn't any limitations. It has a watermark on your renders. And you can download it for free from their website.
Why is it so grainy looking. How come all the animations from the demo look amazing and so far I have yet to see anyone create a good looking video from their own work. Is it something to do with how you render the vid? Can you please make a better quality vid for this and upload it so that we can see the quality?
this is my second job with vue and is not intended to be perfect as i am a self-taught the loop was made for two reasons: 1 - to shorten the rendering time 2 -to match exactly the lenght of the music.
If you have any links or advice to improve mi Vue experience i will be very happy.
Vue is Very Simple to use, however this video, or any found on youtube, atleast as I have seen do not do it justice. This animation is a loop that comes with Vue, and he rendered it and made it repeat :) still nice music
What's the name of the song? BTW nice work! =)
