@YoshiLikesFruit In order to play Mario Kart wii you need to install HomeBrew Channel. Not dangerous at all. Patch ios 36 not dangerous. Install cIOS 249 and 222. Not dangerous. Dl CFGUSBLOADER (I use cfg v66 222) and put on the sd. Not dangerous. Plug in a fat formated usb into the bottom usb port and start usbloader. Hit plus on the wii remote to rip the game. All not dangerous. Downgrading the system menu is dangerous as is updating it. Themes are very dangerous

for future problems as soon as you turn on your wii hold reset and if it sends you to priiloader then you most likely did not brick it just go to system menu hacks and check if you set wii menu to black screen if you did just disable it also do not have priiloader on sd but make sure you do have an sd card THUMBS UP IF IT HELPED!!!!!!!
the black screen is mainly hardware issue, alot of the times is caused by the power pack, wii preloader will only screw up your wii if you do not doo it right and correctly understand everything, simple really.

So yeah, I got my third wii heheh, and hacked again but I only installed wad manager and the original non-injected, and did an update using Wii Party and it worked, IT DID NOT BRICK MY WII SO HAPPY. YOUR WII WILL BRICK AFTER UPDATE AFTER its code has been changed such as installing Priiloader, cause it changes the way your wii works.

No experiments with your Wii without Priiloader/BootMii installed before... Trust me, a saw a lot of people who got bricks installing channels, themes, etc.
I have a Wii with System Menu 4.2, Priiloader 0.4 and the DarkWii theme. I can run backups and install channels without risk. My Wii is litteraly perfect (in my opinion) ^^
I only had one failure rate on my Wii: I was playing the Virtual console version of Ocarina of Time, and when i entered Dodongo's cavern, the game froze and made a really harsh buzzing noise. thats one of the reasons I traded my white wii in for a black one.

I think i have installed Bootmii or something as Boot2! so what to do? when i pressed the Home Buttom (before the brick) i could use the option "Launch Bootmii".....
i downgraded from 4.0 so i could play my backups...was at 3.2 then needed to upgrade for brawl so i went to 3.3 then my parents updated to 3.4 from a disc and it became a brick. All of those a U btw
i did some research... the downgrade does not result in a brick, but it leaves your wii in a very vulnerable state because from what i read it leaves a stub from the last menu and if you do a disc upgrade to 3.4... your wii is bricked. I sent mine in to nintendo and they couldn't detect homebrew so if this happens to you SENT IT IN!!! THEY CANNOT DETECT HOMEBREW!!!
@AaronPr19 Umm..... If it's bricked like this then they have to replace the wii's internal memory. The only surefire way to know if your wii is bricked in that way is if you try to boot recovery mode. Look up how to do it but if you can't boot recovery mode then they won't be able to detect it. Keep in mind that when you send it in though they will automatically replace your disc drive so you can't play backups from disc and they will give you the latest system menu.
I think the problem is in the bluetooth module. If you buy a new one, and replace it, probably it will work fine again. I had the same problem once. Hope this help somebody.
PS: A new brand bluetooth module costs about 20 €, and you can find it on the internet.

No experiments with your Wii without Priiloader/BootMii installed before... Trust me, a saw a lot of people who got bricks installing channels, themes, etc.
I have a Wii with System Menu 4.2, Priiloader 0.4 and the DarkWii theme. I can run backups and install channels without risk. My Wii is litteraly perfect (in my opinion) ^^

I only had one failure rate on my Wii: I was playing the Virtual console version of Ocarina of Time, and when i entered Dodongo's cavern, the game froze and made a really harsh buzzing noise. thats one of the reasons I traded my white wii in for a black one.

@sm64no1LOL i can't say no for sure but i also can't say yes for sure either because they will turn on ur wii and they normally look through it and right when u turn on ur wii u'll see the homebrew channel and that's when they will stop and send it right back to u and say they can't do anything because u voided the warrantee. i'm not 100% on that but normally that's how it goes

i downgraded from 4.0 so i could play my backups...was at 3.2 then needed to upgrade for brawl so i went to 3.3 then my parents updated to 3.4 from a disc and it became a brick. All of those a U btw

i did some research... the downgrade does not result in a brick, but it leaves your wii in a very vulnerable state because from what i read it leaves a stub from the last menu and if you do a disc upgrade to 3.4... your wii is bricked. I sent mine in to nintendo and they couldn't detect homebrew so if this happens to you SENT IT IN!!! THEY CANNOT DETECT HOMEBREW!!!

@AaronPr19 Umm..... If it's bricked like this then they have to replace the wii's internal memory. The only surefire way to know if your wii is bricked in that way is if you try to boot recovery mode. Look up how to do it but if you can't boot recovery mode then they won't be able to detect it. Keep in mind that when you send it in though they will automatically replace your disc drive so you can't play backups from disc and they will give you the latest system menu.

I think the problem is in the bluetooth module. If you buy a new one, and replace it, probably it will work fine again. I had the same problem once. Hope this help somebody.
PS: A new brand bluetooth module costs about 20 €, and you can find it on the internet.
