Just a few minutes prior to boarding in Christchurch I impulsively altered my ticket to postpone the 2nd leg. When I got off in Nelson I waved to the pilot beginning his shift that day, as the plane refueled and passengers boarded. I'll never forget my boyfriend phoning to console my family. I'm not surprised Cindy has gone on to become such a champion - she was always a fantastic gymnast!!!
