Getting a sample to the blood bank is not more important than resuscitation, obviously. Very important to remind the student to get this so that they have a lower chance of missing this draw and then having to go back and do it later. Also, some labs take longer to get these done, so the sooner the specimen gets there, the sooner results are back.
