@Brooklynbroncofan True but Marshall didn't need speed ... he could break tackles and elude tacklers unlike any receiver I have ever seen. Thomas only has 1 move. The stiff arm (he said it himself) ... will always be a Marshall fan, will always hate McDaniels for it but its all about the Broncos and we are happy to have Bay Bay.
You know, through the whole thing I'm thinking "Brandon Marshall is much faster than Thomas, why do people think Thomas is faster though?" But then I saw the play at 3:19. Holy crap, he turned on the jets man.
I dont think he is gonna be as great as marshall but he is gonna be pretty damn good. When I see him, all I think is deep threat, randy moss style. When u see Marshall u see deep threat (even without the same speed) but u also see, possesion guy, fight for every yard guy, MR YAC. Something they both got in common are they are both really good blocking WR. Best of Luck Bay Bay, Happy to have u. And to Marshall, gonna miss u buddy. Forever a fan.
you know what i love our organization. to let go of marshall and then draft someone possibly just as dangerous. he's physical, perfect hight and fast. he's a 96 speed in madden. the kid is gonna make some noise. LETS GO BRONCOS!!
Sporting News had him listed as a 4.40 40 yard time in their predraft rankings. Add that to the fact that I think Bryant will prove to be as big of a headache to Dallas as Marshall will be in Miami...he's one false move from being gone for a year.
He had accouple drops if he fix them easy catches he's gonna be the New Beast in denver & Marshall can't keep the nickname kuzz fans gave it to him so now its Demaryius "The Beast" "Bay Bay" Thomas
Demaryius, congratulations on being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL Draft. I know that you are excited and looking forward to August when you all travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. Best of luck and peace out.
@rudyfisher Hold up....wait a minute, Broncos were 3rd in da NFL in stopping tha pass, it was the run defense that was da problem. But I do like the aquiring of Perrish Cox and Syd' Quan Thompson.
if the woman would shut up maybe BayBay could answer the question....ha
Bay Bay is grade A A and you Bronco fans are lucky, this kid is going to produce immediately and put your team back on top again..take a look at his highlites from GT
Broncos gonna miss Brandon marshall. This guy has speed but thats it. Wait till he plays against NFL CB and I bet he is going to struggle.Gonna be a bust big time.
Bay-Bay is faster than Marshall, smarter, much better blocker and has much more character. One was a 1st round pick, the other was a 4th round pick. The upside is definetely there.
this is how i see it when ppl say the broncos are dumbasses. We got Thomas to go up and get it and make those spectacular plays. we got royal to spread the field a little bit and royal runs great routes. THEN we got Tebow who will develop with Mcdandiels over the nxt yr and we'll find a place for him this yr. THEN we got Decker who reminds me of Wes Welker to play the slot. he know how to get open and is consistant and can really hurt a defence.
Bay-Bay is a great pick! I went to high school with this cat and he has only gotten better since then! He is gonna suprise the NFL! LETS DO THIS BAY-BAY!
Some of you people are crazy if you think the Broncos had a bad draft, they had the best 1st round of any team this year. And its not about big name players like Dez Bryant for Mcdaniels he got 2 perfect players for our style of offense and 2 all around good guys who are willing to put in the work to win, its clear we dont want people like marshall and cutler no matter how good they are. LETS GO BRONCOS!!!
lol @8cantrel5 you make it seem like hes T.O. do yourself a favor next time, do your homework, oh...and have fun with tim tebow. what a waste of a pick hahahahaha mcdaniels is so STUPID
At 3:18 he comes out of that screen so fast it looks like the picture looks like it skips. That's awesome! He'll be perfect for our offense--The Denver Bubble Screens=)
@8cantrell5 Oh STFU you piece of shit, thats a very ignorant comment about Dez. The media is having a FIELD DAY w/ him even though he's not done ANYTHING WRONG since coming into the NFL. I've been 2 Dallas Cowboys training camp, the only thing that kid does is be the 1st guy on and off the field, high-fives fans, signs autographs w/ a smile on his face, and is overly polite& respectful 2 the media/public, ALWAYS says "Yes sir", "No,Sir"..and this whole thing about not carrying Roy's Williams'...
@8cantrell5 ...shoulder pads during training camp is absolutely laughable 2 talk about on ESPN as much as they have been, but of course this is Dallas we are talking about here, so they've always loved to talk about us no matter what its about, just always waiting 4 a story. He has NEVER been in serious trouble in his whole life, yeah his mom was a crack-whore, but not by his choice. He's a respectful young kid, didn't realize that hangin around Deion Sanders while in college was=2 dog fighting.
plus with tebow we got are fullback peyton hillis back , tebows a monster he will run over people like he did in college , granted he might fuck around and get his neck broke in the nfl , but he aint scared - the boys got heart , and fuck hes throwing motion he puts the ball were it needs to be , but jimmy c. is one hell of an accurate QB cant believe no team jump on him in the first round
hell of alot cheaper than marshall , this kid will fill the void -just as big and strong , i just hope josh takes this brief moment of intellectual genius and dosnt fuck around wasting another year on that mutt orton and gets tebows badass on the field immediately
what have he done that makes u belive hes will be a good qb ... the best job he can do is a water boy ... hes a good guy bit hes not a qb ... we should make a angry mob and visit our good friend mcdanels
This guy really reminds me of a T.O, Andre & Calvin Johnson type Wr, but I really like how he makes catches out of the flat and just has great footwork.
you think the acc dbs are solid? i'm not exactly sold on him or golden tate but the bucs need someone at wr! who you guys like most d thomas a benn or g tate as a future number one receiver
If he is coached well in running routes, he could be as good as Larry Fitzgerald. Even if he is not a solid route runner, he could be as good as Plaxico Burress.
at 3:20, i was completely unaware that he was that fast. Damn. If he didn't break his ankle I wouldn't have been surprised to see him rip off a low 4.4 and soar into the first round.
It worries me that he would never go over the middle at all. NFL team will pick up on that and just play him to the outside. I wonder if he can catch while taking a few hits.
Also he really reminds me of Braylon Edwards. Great at running the fly, tends to drop some passes, but also makes some great catches that nobody else would be able to make. And they're both also great blocking receivers.
What I love about him is that he catches the ball with his hands, arms extended, and not his body.
The Geogia and Duke game showed more of his speed and big play ability. At GA when he cought the ball on that screen an ran it all the way, and Duke when he went deep on number #7 for the Touchdown...
fuck vick your gonna have MOORE be the starter. he is a great qb at 25 way better then VICK trust me. Moore was 4-1 with the panthers and thats why the cut DELHOMME. vick will most likely stay in PHI this year and Moore will throw for 20 plus tds in Car. I like this Thomas kid thou reminds me of CALVIN. hope the lions take him
@LilMike1309 Carolina does not have a first round pick, but they have the 16th pick in the second round. At this point, both receivers should be gone.
this guy is not randy moss. he's more of a TO. he jus physically dominates d-backs - running by them, running over them, breaking weak arm tackles. i don't think randy moss would be willing to catch screens the way thomas does. he looks real good
this dude is probably guna end up being a Pro Bowler so is Dez Bryant they r both huge and fast jus like Randy Moss,Terrel Owens, Larry Fitz, if either one of these guys goes past the first round ill be suprized.
what about Brandon Marshall. He is a beast.. 3 straight 100 reception seasons and NFL record 21 catches in one game vs. the COLTS... that guy is the best
this muh fucka big as hell.. n he can run low key and he'll go up n get it. he's gunna b gud jo..his stiff arm nasty too!!! look at (3:36) LMAO! sit yo baby ass down!!
This kid really should be the #2 WR behind Bryant. I hopefully some team realizes that too. Its to bad the eagles got enough receivers cause this kids legit. He looks like Anquan Boldin out there.
Seems like a great athlete but I think Georgia Tech designed passing plays to hide his inability to run fluid passing routes. The only patterns he ran were go routes, comebacks, or bubble screens. This may also display his unwillingness to go across the middle and catch the ball in traffic. These skills will have to be displayed on his pro day.
because his offense did not tell him to run routes is not a reflection of the player but a reflection of the offense. They were an option run offense. When thomas was given the chance he did catch passes over the middle. He often showed fearless attitude running back to the middle to get extra yards. Please dont come on here and try to reply to me about the difference between speed and football speed trying to sound sophisticated. He has everything you want in a wr and more to be tapped from him
Don't make me out to be an idiot. I have studied many of these wide receiver prospects as my team is in desperate need of one. Thomas is very intriguing & has enormous upside. It will take him 2 years to reach his full potential for he is very raw. He rounds of his routes & also telegraphs them, does not get separation on the 9-route & with his long strides it is easy to indicate as to when he is running a comeback route because he stands too tall. Don't be an ass thinking your an NFL scout.
I agree with the route runningcomment. He did not run the tree effectively, but to say he was "unwilling to go across the middle and catch the ball in traffic" is PURE speculation. i did notice that he comes back to the ball well on the 6 route.
lol excuse me buddy? you come on here acting all pretentious like you know more about this then anybody else. when in fact u piss your pants at the thought of playing football yourself. So i'm sorry if my one sentence may sound like i'm an nfl scout. Atleast i dont come on here and make 3 posts trying to sound like some tight ass know it all who really has seen no more highlights of this player than anybody else. so how about you shut the hell up. thank you
Ur right I havent seen more tape than anyone else however win comparin him 2 previous ncaa prospects who have experienced success in the nfl level he lacks the route runnin savviness of previously elite prospects which is y I said hes a 2 year project Im not tryin 2 b pretentious Im tryin 2 provide an accurate assessment of what I see in him in an attempt 2 c how he can translate into the Ravens offense I dont hav the best playin experience 4 yrs in high school football, this is my passion sorry
I Really Like Thoma's Raw physical skills and big play ability. He has Speed and size, with very large and strong hands.Hands catcher. He's good with the ball in the air.and blocks very well.
Route running is avg.His weight has not fluctuated .Lacks quickness(for route running). Not very productive for a 1st rd pick.
He's The 2nd or 3rd best wr in this draft.
1st late or early 2nd round.
As a Ravens fan i would love to trade up for him in early 2nd.
He'd be a very good second round pick for us (us being the Ravens). His stock is devastated by the broken foot, but he's a specimen. Good size, great speed for his height, etc. He'd be a good 2nd/3rd round pick.
hes not as slow as people think....even if he is...look at B marshall...he ran a 4.5 at the combine but hes still considered a deep threat....now im not saying hes a Marshall, but who knows down the road??? Heres to hoping the ravens get him...oh yeah the Bungles had a great season no doubt...but come on... lets be serious...what have you guys done the past 10 years???
its true he ran a 4.38 forty. i remember reading about it in an article. im not sure which one but his agent got it on tape and sent the video to all 32 teams since he cant participate in the combine.
@TheRealKontroversy "The wide-outs who could be available are Arrelious Benn (6-2, 220) from Illinois and Demaryius Thomas (6-3, 224) from Georgia Tech. Mayock said Thomas reportedly is running 40s in the high 4.3s." BaltimoreSun from the NFL analyst Mayock soooo go fuck yourself....Btw if you have eyes its pretty obvious to see on this video that he is not slow.
@GMJC202 There's speed and then there's football speed. Thomas has football speed but he doesn't have everything that you would like in a wide receiver.
Please be a raven. We need a physical W/O more than dolphins. As of right now with Mason likely to retire and Bum ass Mark Clayton on his way out we literally have no Wide receivers at all
@rjl42985 fuck tha ravens we beat them both times this year and if he goes to baltimore u best beleive leon hall or jj would be more than happy to lock him down twice a year for tha rest of his career but hes still welcome in cinci with open arms tho
Your team is so bad u had 2 winning seasons since Lewis took over, you have not won a playoff game since I can remember. U will never sweep the division again. The jets embarrassed you two weeks in a row to finish your season. Cincinati is absolute joke to the ravens/steelers (the class of the division)
yeah i guess if those 2 corners were good they would lock him down for the rest of his career. good thing thats not true. Oh you shut down derrick mason clayton and kelley washington? good job lol they are quite the elite stars arent they?....bengals didnt do too well in the playoffs or the end of the season. oh and that defense also doesnt seems to be able to control ray rice either. so how about you bengals fans do what u usually do and talk a lot of shit, do good, then suck
Congratulations, you shut down Mark Clayton. I'm a Ravens fan, but he's pathetic. Mason and Washington are decent, but nothing more. They do this, the Bengals. They have a good season here and there, but I think that's two winning seasons in the Palmer era? Solid.
@7370355qq doubt it he is going to be picked between 2 and 3rd round because you can envision a scenario were five receivers will be drafted ahead of him Dez Bryant,Arrielous,Benn,Golden Tate, Damian Williams and Brandon Lafell
believe me following the combine workouts he will be the second highest wr prospect, behind only dez bryant. he is bigger than bryant but not as good of a route runner. he also is just as bad as a route runner as arrelious benn. so his size, hands and athletic ability alone will possibly be enough to leapfrog him into the 1st round, believe it. nobody will have the luxury of stealing him in the 3rd round.
@Brooklynbroncofan True but Marshall didn't need speed ... he could break tackles and elude tacklers unlike any receiver I have ever seen. Thomas only has 1 move. The Geogia and Duke game showed more of his speed and big play ability. At GA when he cought the ball on that screen an ran it all the way, and Duke when he went deep on number #7 for the Touchdown...

he did run any nfl like routes and thats the 2nd most important thing as an NFl WR at least he got his hands going for him
Draftday101 1 year ago
He's Anquan Boldinish... Little more speed but he's gotBoldin like ability (don't know if he will be like Boldin) but he certainly has the makeup.

dont compare this guy to shit terrel owens n randy moss r hall of famers people take comparisons way too far, this dude got great potiental
IIDivineShadowII 1 year ago
maybe my panthers get him or golden tate.. (we gettn vick)
LilMike1309 2 years ago
fuck vick your gonna have MOORE be the starter. he is a great qb at 25 way better then VICK trust me. Moore was 4-1 with the panthers and thats why the cut DELHOMME. vick will most likely stay in PHI this year and Moore will throw for 20 plus tds in Car. I like this Thomas kid thou reminds me of CALVIN. hope the lions take him
untouchablemvj1982 1 year ago
@LilMike1309 Carolina does not have a first round pick, but they have the 16th pick in the second round. At this point, both receivers should be gone.
DariusJMurdaHD 1 year ago
i think he has better hands than TO though
boing3887 2 years ago
this guy is not randy moss. he's more of a TO. he jus physically dominates d-backs - running by them, running over them, breaking weak arm tackles. i don't think randy moss would be willing to catch screens the way thomas does. he looks real good
boing3887 2 years ago
georgia tech usually pumps out good WRs for some reason
gt7365 2 years ago
its called good recruiting at that particular position buddy

@Westige30 thanks for that awesome info

his ball skills are really rare.. they remind me of randy moss, being able to come up with the ball with 2-3 men on him..

If he falls to the second round. He won't get past the Bucs.

this dude is probably guna end up being a Pro Bowler so is Dez Bryant they r both huge and fast jus like Randy Moss,Terrel Owens, Larry Fitz, if either one of these guys goes past the first round ill be suprized.
IIDivineShadowII 2 years ago
Thomas certainly has talent but considering how raw he is, he probably won't be a first round pick.
Ginga 2 years ago
what about Brandon Marshall. He is a beast.. 3 straight 100 reception seasons and NFL record 21 catches in one game vs. the COLTS... that guy is the best
untouchablemvj1982 1 year ago
this muh fucka big as hell.. n he can run low key and he'll go up n get it. he's gunna b gud jo..his stiff arm nasty too!!! look at (3:36) LMAO! sit yo baby ass down!!
swagteam6Buck 2 years ago
He's a fast, blocking WR.
Honestly I'd be shock if the panthers don't take him if he's on the borad in the second round.
HeroRags 2 years ago
This kid really should be the #2 WR behind Bryant. I hopefully some team realizes that too. Its to bad the eagles got enough receivers cause this kids legit. He looks like Anquan Boldin out there.

I don't know why he reminds me a a faster but more raw Larry Fitzgerald
FusedHalos 2 years ago
Seems like a great athlete but I think Georgia Tech designed passing plays to hide his inability to run fluid passing routes. The only patterns he ran were go routes, comebacks, or bubble screens. This may also display his unwillingness to go across the middle and catch the ball in traffic. These skills will have to be displayed on his pro day.
7370355qq 2 years ago
because his offense did not tell him to run routes is not a reflection of the player but a reflection of the offense. They were an option run offense. When thomas was given the chance he did catch passes over the middle. He often showed fearless attitude running back to the middle to get extra yards. Please dont come on here and try to reply to me about the difference between speed and football speed trying to sound sophisticated. He has everything you want in a wr and more to be tapped from him
GMJC202 2 years ago
Don't make me out to be an idiot. I have studied many of these wide receiver prospects as my team is in desperate need of one. Thomas is very intriguing & has enormous upside. It will take him 2 years to reach his full potential for he is very raw. He rounds of his routes & also telegraphs them, does not get separation on the 9-route & with his long strides it is easy to indicate as to when he is running a comeback route because he stands too tall. Don't be an ass thinking your an NFL scout.
7370355qq 2 years ago
@7370355qq
I agree with the route runningcomment. He did not run the tree effectively, but to say he was "unwilling to go across the middle and catch the ball in traffic" is PURE speculation. i did notice that he comes back to the ball well on the 6 route.
genotomko 2 years ago
lol excuse me buddy? you come on here acting all pretentious like you know more about this then anybody else. when in fact u piss your pants at the thought of playing football yourself. So i'm sorry if my one sentence may sound like i'm an nfl scout. Atleast i dont come on here and make 3 posts trying to sound like some tight ass know it all who really has seen no more highlights of this player than anybody else. so how about you shut the hell up. thank you
GMJC202 2 years ago
Ur right I havent seen more tape than anyone else however win comparin him 2 previous ncaa prospects who have experienced success in the nfl level he lacks the route runnin savviness of previously elite prospects which is y I said hes a 2 year project Im not tryin 2 b pretentious Im tryin 2 provide an accurate assessment of what I see in him in an attempt 2 c how he can translate into the Ravens offense I dont hav the best playin experience 4 yrs in high school football, this is my passion sorry

triple option is the bomb
TheKillerclaw23 2 years ago
I Really Like Thoma's Raw physical skills and big play ability. He has Speed and size, with very large and strong hands.Hands catcher. He's good with the ball in the air.and blocks very well.
Route running is avg.His weight has not fluctuated .Lacks quickness(for route running). Not very productive for a 1st rd pick.
He's The 2nd or 3rd best wr in this draft.
1st late or early 2nd round.
As a Ravens fan i would love to trade up for him in early 2nd.
genotomko 2 years ago
yall youtube scouts are bein to critical..he doesnt have to run a 4.3 to be a great wr in the nfl..jus look at his size along and he got hands
keemp21 2 years ago
I didn't know Tech threw the ball this many times all season!!! They always run that stupid triple option crap all game long.
BmoreStyles 2 years ago
lmao it's funny seeing all the Ravens fans invading the comments in the Thomas, Benn and Bryant videos (I wonder what we want lol...).
monkeybutlerz 2 years ago
He'd be a very good second round pick for us (us being the Ravens). His stock is devastated by the broken foot, but he's a specimen. Good size, great speed for his height, etc. He'd be a good 2nd/3rd round pick.
isaac263 2 years ago
hes not as slow as people think....even if he is...look at B marshall...he ran a 4.5 at the combine but hes still considered a deep threat....now im not saying hes a Marshall, but who knows down the road??? Heres to hoping the ravens get him...oh yeah the Bungles had a great season no doubt...but come on... lets be serious...what have you guys done the past 10 years???

he's so slow

@TheRealKontroversy dude watch this vid again and look at 3:20 on here he got burners

@TheRealKontroversy
u dont know what your talking about... hes running in the high 4.3's
GMJC202 2 years ago
@GMJC202 proof would be great....he's not running combine soooooo whenever you find a valid source that would be awesome
TheRealKontroversy 2 years ago
its true he ran a 4.38 forty. i remember reading about it in an article. im not sure which one but his agent got it on tape and sent the video to all 32 teams since he cant participate in the combine.
daniellee823 2 years ago
@TheRealKontroversy "The wide-outs who could be available are Arrelious Benn (6-2, 220) from Illinois and Demaryius Thomas (6-3, 224) from Georgia Tech. Mayock said Thomas reportedly is running 40s in the high 4.3s." BaltimoreSun from the NFL analyst Mayock soooo go fuck yourself....Btw if you have eyes its pretty obvious to see on this video that he is not slow.
GMJC202 2 years ago
@GMJC202 There's speed and then there's football speed. Thomas has football speed but he doesn't have everything that you would like in a wide receiver.

Please be a raven. We need a physical W/O more than dolphins. As of right now with Mason likely to retire and Bum ass Mark Clayton on his way out we literally have no Wide receivers at all
rjl42985 2 years ago 2
@rjl42985 fuck tha ravens we beat them both times this year and if he goes to baltimore u best beleive leon hall or jj would be more than happy to lock him down twice a year for tha rest of his career but hes still welcome in cinci with open arms tho
2upack33 2 years ago
Your team is so bad u had 2 winning seasons since Lewis took over, you have not won a playoff game since I can remember. U will never sweep the division again. The jets embarrassed you two weeks in a row to finish your season. Cincinati is absolute joke to the ravens/steelers (the class of the division)
rjl42985 2 years ago
@2upack33
yeah i guess if those 2 corners were good they would lock him down for the rest of his career. good thing thats not true.
GMJC202 2 years ago
I KNOW RIGHT?
Congratulations, you shut down Mark Clayton. I'm a Ravens fan, but he's pathetic. Mason and Washington are decent, but nothing more. They do this, the Bengals. They have a good season here and there, but I think that's two winning seasons in the Palmer era? Solid.

With the 76 pick in the 2010 Nfl draft the Miami Dolphins Select Demaryius Thomas WR Georgia Tech

@gcjackofalltrades thomas is going a lot earlier than 76. his stock has risen and he is now potentially a first round pick.

@7370355qq doubt it he is going to be picked between 2 and 3rd round because you can envision a scenario were five receivers will be drafted ahead of him Dez Bryant,Arrielous,Benn,Golden Tate, Damian Williams and Brandon Lafell
gcjackofalltrades 2 years ago
believe me following the combine workouts he will be the second highest wr prospect, behind only dez bryant. he is bigger than bryant but not as good of a route runner. he also is just as bad as a route runner as arrelious benn. so his size, hands and athletic ability alone will possibly be enough to leapfrog him into the 1st round, believe it. nobody will have the luxury of stealing him in the 3rd round.
peonypink27 2 years ago
maybe the dolphins take him in the second round. either way we need a big time wide out with some height.
