  • all HST's make those sounds

  • @fiddleandcatz But the sounds sure are weird!

  • i dont know where you get 34k from i drive for fgw and im pushing 40k and by the way just remember that fitters are to scared to drive trains thats why they become fitters. id like to see you drive in thick fog at 125mph and still know where you in order to stop at stations whilst trying to keep time, you just carry on writing nff (no fault found) when we book stuff in the repair book

  • Thats definitely the air suspension working overtime...maybe some fat passengers?

  • those are actually tiny little dolphins you can here talking to each other as they are turning the wheels of those carriages!!! thats what you can here!

  • There are no dolphins in Reading - only druggies. BTW the odd sounds are louder on the video than when I was on the platform. Perhaps they are high frequency sounds the human ear can't detect properly.

  • as the brakes release on MK3 coaches the air is forced out through tight pipes which make a high pitched squeak.

  • WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really? Then how am I wrong because that is what an HST driver told me.

  • LOL.

The noise u can hear is being made by air escaping from the equalizing/leveling valves on the trailers Air suspension system.

    So the driver was wrong

(i work on these things everyday, so i know exactly what i'm on about)

Its nothing to do with Brakes or 'tight pipes'

    hence...You are WRONG!

    =D

  • oh right - so do u work for FGW? if so give us your f-gen number and have a talk with him.

  • Yes.

I'm a proud member of the SPM MASSIVEEE!!

Spend all day breaking HSTs and DMUs =]

I doubt talking to him would make any differance. BLoody overpayed button pusher/knob puller ;) LOL HAHA.

(for anyone with no sense of humor (aka, Railspot/any VALEG member), that was a Joke.

Drivers have to drink tea & fail services aswell!!!!!! Very important job!!!

  • Sorry, just to clarify+

The above comment is made by MEEE!

I was accidently logged into my G/Fs YouTube account.

    OOPPS! Oh well......................

  • good for you - he is an overpaid knob pusher and spends half his life bragging about his 34k for 4 days work, but he's been working in the industry for 18 years (9 of which as a driver of hst's). but he stands by his knowledge of mk3 coaches.

  • LOL.

    Good for him.

    Hes still wrong.

What a fucking retard you are.

If you think i dont know what im talking about , youd better be afraid next time you step on a FGW HST because i repair/work on these things daily. LOL

34k? Not bad. I should be on somewhere near that in 2 years time.

4 days on...4 days off :) GET INNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

  • whatever

Tom Hampson of 79 Dorset Way

whether your right or wrong your still a retarded fuckin trainspotter - and you look like a fuckin pussy in your myspace picture

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    Cock.

  • you are

  • Those noises are cool, you get them on all HSTs

  • It's not just HSTs. It's all Mk3 stock. I saw the Caledonian Sleeper and it made this noise.
