I am an Orthodox Jew and I served 3 years in the Golany Brigade and I still do reserve duty at age 41. @ritchloui i dont know what you define as "rights" but at least in Syria Damascus Palestinians have the right to free school, can own their own business and are free to work even join work unions. The freedom to travel and move around in the country and to neighboring countries is also possible. 5% of California is alot land, small nations have the highest quality of living just look at Monaco and Switzerland were people from the US complain about the price of a cup of coffee.

@FrauenArzt2012 If those 'Palestinians' were born in Syria, then why haven't they been granted Syrian citizenship? We know why. They are being used as a political football. The fact is that the 'Palestinians' are Syrians and always were.

@ritchloui The word "Palestine" is such a misnomer, it's disgusting! David took down a phillistine and a couple thousand years later, they want payback so they take the name?! I'd have picked something better than that! ;) I'm with you but they aren't just all Syrians. They're Jordanian, Egyptian & a few other countries in that area. They were kicked out during all the crap that was going on (esp in Jordan) and ALL the neighbors turned their backs the other way.

@FrauenArzt2012 First, where did "palestine" or "palestinians" come from?! Second, 5% maybe be a lot of land to the Israeli's but not to the palestinians. There are more arab countries than any other nationality in the world and most of that land is not even occupied; so 5% is nothing but if arabs really want peace, why wouldn't they encourage arabs to come back to that countries land and give them 10% or 25%? They wouldn't even be missing it, considering no one occupies it.

@amerisoldier I'm no expert in history but Palestinians have strong historical roots in what is now the majority of Israel. The other Arab nations should not have to give some of their land when the land were Palestinians belong is their.The problem is the government in Israel discriminates their are many political parties that want a state with equal rights for both Arabs and Jews like the NIF(new israel fund).you would never know about them though as they are usually censored.

@FrauenArzt2012 I am not an expert either but the word "Palestine" is a made up name. Jews have strong historical, as well as, biblical roots there also. Before 1948, the "Palestinians" were offered a peace agreement, which would have given them the ENTIRE state of Israel &would have put the Jews in a very small, very heavily patrolled (not by the Israeli's, either) neighborhood to keep them (the Jews) in one place. @FrauenArzt2012....(cont) of the Palesitians, Yasser Arafat's uncle, wanted the annihilation of ALL of the Jews. They could have had their own state over 60 years ago but greed and hate overtook them. Also, when they fought the Jews, they lost the land BUT the Jews NEVER forced them out of their homes. In fact, they offered for them to stay and be considered Arab Israeli's. Some of them wanted that and were ok with it but a lot of them were not. So, they up and left (cont)

Another thing to note, since when was a war fought and land was lost were the victors forced to give back the land? @FrauenARzt2012...(cont) the "white people" (now known as "Americans") have continued to build "settlements," and occupy the land they took from other people. No one has forced them to give that land back. Russia fought wars, as well and took land belonging to those around them but never gave any back.
