Hi, cool engine. I wounder if you could tell me a little more about it. 1) does it have good cab detail? 2) how well does it prefore on DC power. 3) can you turn "crew talk" off? 4) do know of any web site which may have clear pitures of the cab detail (if it has any), thanks
@jedi725 HAHAHA #FAIL First off why would i even care if they made European models Im not even intrested for that market. MTH wouldnt even have tinplate trains if it wasnt for lionel back in the 30's. Railking is ok, for starters and for small layouts. Lionrel trains are made to cary a tradition and TO BE RUN. thats all there is to that
@nukinfuts1000 Too bad that Lionel's product quality is horrific. I don't want to have to send an engine back 3 million times (exaggeration) just to fix a defective product they should of taken care of months ago. MTH also has a bigger market capacity than Lionel. MTH is in HO, Tinplate, O scale, and G scale. Along with O scale their European market has really taken off. Most of the o gauge railroaders in europe go with MTH. Easier availability.
@nukinfuts1000 It has quality and dependability that is way better than Lionel. Go ask pghtrainfanatic about what he thinks about MTH's quality and dependability and he has one of the best layouts on youtube.
I wish Lionel would make an 0-27 2-6-6-2

@trainmaster4012 Personally, I think the same thing.

Nice engine, I like it. A few questions, if you don't mind...
1. What's the model number of this engine
2. Is this a prototypical NYC engine? I'm a Pennsy fan and know nothing about the NYC, and I'm looking for a "counterpart", if you know what I mean.
3. No whistle smoke? I thought all Legacy locomotives had whistle smoke...
edcon1981 5 months ago
@edcon1981 Well, to answer question #3, no, not all Legacy locomotives have the whistle smoke. There are some, but this isn't one of them.

I like you ten wheeler a lot!

It sucks how mth has pretty much all the same sounds for every engine. Lionel really goes the whole 9 yards in making each engine sound unique.

i went to the expo center for the train show and got that engine to

@SouthernRR4501 nice try but it's the other way around, MTH kicks Lionel's ass all over the place.

@jedi725 LOL thats funny that nobody else agreed with your comment.

@jedi725 What are you smoking? Lionel has steaming whistles, steaming generaters and doesnt have ugly wires sticking out the back of the cab.
nukinfuts1000 10 months ago 2
@nukinfuts1000 6 reasons MTH is best
1 MTH has European models, Lionel has only TTTE and a UK 4-6-0
2 MTH's Silver bullet is more awesome than any other Lionel train
3 MTH still makes orginal classic tinplate trains, Lionel now only makes re-issues
4 MTH does have model trains that do more than just run, Lionel not so much
5 MTH Railking trains are like jewels, Lionel not at all
6 MTH smoke units somtimes blow smoke out of the sides of the train besides the stack to look real (ps1 steam)

@Bassfanatic94 Funny that nobody agrees with you. I don't hate mth. You just act like its the superior modeler, which its not.
