  • Thanks for taking you'r time and sharing a really nice and good work.

  • Well, All I Can Say Is That English Do Not Use Any Type Of Nuts In Our Toffee, And If We Did, We Wouldn't Use Almonds. We Also Don't Use Corn Syrup Or Dark Chocolate Either.

  • @kassponia Wow Interesting Do You Know That We Normal People Do Not Put Capital Letters On Every Single Words?

  • @KuroHime27 I Do Know That Yes, But I Do It To Annoy People, Which Obviously Worked Since You Commented On It Claiming I Was Stupid.

  • ohh shuttup those mr.know it all.. he just sharing some of his recipe and it looks delicious!! Nuts or no nuts.. english or american... they look tasty.. nuff said and enjoy the recipe okay~

  • ,_, He's just offering a another way you can make the toffee... he did some plain ones without the nuts :|

  • or in stead of all the mess of cutting it and dipping individual pieces in chocolate.... just sprinkle nuts directly on the toffee while its cooling but still hot and then dark chocolate chips wait a couple minutes and spread the chocolate with a knife pop it in the fridge to solidify the chocolate then just whack it and shatter it into bite size pieces no need to spend an hour individually coating toffee pieces... zzzzzzz

  • good day to you sir im a young English man and this is not English toffee this is american toffe dont add nuts then call it English toffee pip pip cheerio

  • Why are people responding to this like it's offensive? lol oh Youtube... you troll-like little rascal, you.

  • @Clarie011791 As someone from a place where traditional recipes are extremely valuable, I can tell that it really feels like an offense when someone with no idea about it just cooks whatever and calls it the real thing, as throughout the centuries we strongly preserve this knowledge pure. Thank you for trying to understand it, as I imagine it is hard for someone from the US (in the case you are), as they have just a couple of centuries of history.

  • @hastalueguito I do unserstand where you all are coming from. Also being that I am from America, yes, I am very much educated and involved in my ethnic background, (Spanish and Native American) I never get offended or upset when I see Taco Bell, Taco Cabana or those sorts of commercial places, making our food and claiming it to be "Spanish" or "Mexican". I mean, if anything it should be flattering that English Toffee is so well liked and being created by everyday Americans or other Europeans.

  • @Clarie011791 I find your point of view as valid as mine, although they are different! thanks for the dialogue. However, I'm in doubt now... So tacos are not mexican? I know they definately are not spanish... So where are they from originally? Also when you say I'm american, you mean from the US, right?Or somewhere else in the continent?

  • @hastalueguito I meant, "Spanish rice" being made all sorts of different ways. lol But yes, I was born an American but I'm very much aware of my ethnic background. Actually, my mother is half Spaniard and half Italian. My father is a Native American. Bah, I'd adopted a fact that isn't so valid considering there aren't many of those types of dishes that could be compared to this toffee scenario. Haha... I guess as far as the rice thing goes, it can be both ways. Spanish rice is the same---

  • @Clarie011791 term used both in Mexico and Spain. Obviously in their respective languages... but they're both made almost completely different originally.

  • INDIAN WIFE TOFFE APPLE WIFE BABY

  • Hi, I'm trying to work out how many grams of sugar you are using. 2 and 2/3 cups, is that around 660 grams? Australian cups = around 250 grams but I'm not sure about American cups. Ta, xx

  • Omygod, so much butter? I'm gonna throw up..

  • do u guys really need to give a crap about the nuts! i mean seriously....

  • Everyone in the comments section are cunts. But good video.

  • Looks for fattening and obesity

  • Hullo I'm a ENGLISHWOMEN and English toffee does not have nuts!! hullo therefore stop calling it English toffee this is American toffee

  • @TheBrittnanny Umm ye hullo ? your not a English person

  • @TheBrittnanny you are such a LOSER this is his recipe he makes it the way he likes! If you like it a didnt way make some your way.

  • @TheBrittnanny For an English Woman your English is terrible.

  • @TheBrittnanny You most certainly are not, lady. If you were indeed an English woman, you'd know the difference between "Woman" and its plural "Women". You're either an uneducated Chav or just an immigrant.

PS: Take a cup of fucking shutup, will ya?!

  • great, but i don't think you need the chocolate and the almonds though. well done for suggesting to others =)

  • Why put nuts in the toffee? We have the British to fill in that gap.

  • if anybody dislikes this they are probably dentists

  • @crushed: Now, now. You'll get more attention by being courteous and not by being a curmudgeon. You Brits are taking the place of the French for most discourteous nationality. You're uncivilly like the American Tea Party on this side of the Atlantic. I used to ignore REAL ugly old farts, but now it's best to confront them for REAL.

  • @jerryballew37 how dare you say we are worse than the french .thats just beond insulting .

  • @blobby1972 I refer you to crushed 51's comment above. No excuse for that rudeness. How dare you deny it.

  • @jerryballew37 still no need to attack all of us brits because of one moron .even though he does have a point about the nuts .

  • @jerryballew37 Hey dickhead, have you been to France? If you had you would know they are actually one of the MOST courteous of nationalities. Don't pay too much attention to stereotypes otherwise we would all think you are a tabacco-spitting-sister-marrying-hillbilly. Also you will find Americans actually are one of the rudest nationalities as we seem to hear every day and in my experience American tourists are very selfish and almost think that it's rude when people don't speak English.

  • @HbAvenger Hey turdhead, I've been to Bairritz, France and was NOT impressed. That was enough for me. I agree we Yanks are a Jerry Springer nation who seldom if ever go abroad, but the Frogs and Brits are running a very close second and is falling over the cliff to having a crescent moon replacing their flag. So what's your point of national importance again?

  • @jerryballew37 thats just your opinion and your culture. the british culture is not all like that. yes there are places that have complete dickheads, like the area i live in but ive travelled all around my country and i can safely say that its <20% of our population that are not courteous. the rest are the most pleasant people to be around. the people that you see on the Jeremy Kyle show are in that <20% range.

  • @MrDbz1995 You have no notion of my culture. I live in San Francisco one of the great cities of the world. I daresay we are separated from the rest of the U.S., but we do recognize rudeness and do not have to tolerate it any more than the French or the Brits have to. Every country has its dickheads, but 95% of San Francisco is very civilized. About the same as the French and Brits. I was treated very rudely by some of the French, but I blame George Bush (not my fault!) for that rude behavior.

  • I don't disagree that English Toffee does not have nuts but if you notice he said that he is making english toffee with nuts and chocolate!!!!

  • "English Toffee" is an American adaption of toffee, probably wanted more flavor and texture, because we Yanks tend to munch candy, instead letting it melt in your mouth. But true toffee does not call for nuts or choc on top.

  • What is wrong with you, you never use a metal spoon to cook something you use a wooden spoon or a spatula.

  • you hit 300f and its browns itself, best thing to use is coating chocolate, doesnt melt at room temp

  • @duplessis2006 your mum does

  • you hit 300f and its browns itself

  • How does it turn Brown then.. I always thought we need to use brown sugar?!

  • What is it with you YANKS and your damn NUTS ?. As a REAL LIVE ENGLISHMAN, I can tell you that REAL ENGLISH toffee does NOT have NUTS in it. So PLEASE eithre QUIT with the damn NUTS, or STOP calling it ENGLISH toffee cuz it aint.

Tasty toffee yes, ENGLISH toffee NO

  • @crushed51 who rattled ur cage ya freak

  • @crushed51 He did say English Toffee covered in Chocolate and Almonds NOT English Toffee and then put it this new stuff on it. Other than that, agreed. He should of also said the chocolate and almonds was optional for English Toffee because of your point.

  • @crushed51 it is english toffee but he says english toffee WITH Almonds he never said those were specifically english toffee and nuts are in english he says english toffeeWITH NUTS damn dumbass and its a FUCKING TUTORIAL ITS DELICOUS SO DONT FUCKING COMPLAIN YA JACKWAGON

  • @crushed51

Would you say it is the correct recipe for english toffee before the nuts are added? I'm interested in the original recipe as you seem very passionate about it, would it be more accurate if the title specified that it is english toffee WITH nuts, or is it the wrong method from the start?

  • @crushed51 Thankyou fellow englishman!
